i'm not meaning to add fuel to the fire...but..why were a lot of canadian fans laughing\rolling eyes at the beginning of this thread, when ANYONE predicted the US would win? i'm not condoning the crap that's going on in this thread(i'm getting to that in a second) but it's not as if the same sort of nonsense wasn't coming from the other side before the game even started.

This game should make it fairly sure Luongo is promoted to popcorn serving duties

This should hopefully permanently stop the INSANE suggestions of Luongo >>> Brodeur

Amazing how one loss makes us one of the worst countires in the world in some peoples eyes.

Remember Olympics? We lost to Sweden 5-2 and went undefeated the rest of the way. Next time we face the States(when the wins and losses count, but this game was still important) Brodeur will play a full 60 minutes. Remember American fans, you scored your goals against Luongo, not the mighty Brodeur

The loss can't be entirely blamed on Luongo. Rolston's goal was pretty much unstoppable, and besides..it wasn't Luongo that wasn't able to get the puck in the net for Canada. The US badly outplayed the Canadians, and no goalie can be blamed for that. I expect a better effort from them next time.
