Not many negatives from tonight. Cut down on the careless penalties and we'll be hard to beat IMO. It's scary to think how many chances we squandered early on, this could have been even more lopsided pretty easily.

I'll say it again: Lazar is overrated and bringing McDavid down. McD had more chemistry in one shift with Fabbri than any of his wingers in the last two games. Flame away.

So just because Lazar does not work with McDavid makes him overrated? Okay then.

Two players with different play styles and they obviously don't mesh well. Does not make Lazar overrated though.

How has Reinhart looked?

He looked good. That line is the only line that is not being juggled out of commission. Good vision, good hands, needs to improve his skating though, not as fast I thought he was..... smart player, extremely smart player, but man...his skating needs work badly.

I think Reinhart has been doing a good job of feeding the cycle and pulling defenders to him to open up space. He was one of the reasons Domi got so much open ice. I wouldn't break that line up.

This. Seems like Reinhart just isnt flashy enough for some people, but hes the perfect Center for Domi and Duclair.

I'm a Sens fan and I agree

I don't think Lazar will end up a top 6 player in the NHL

Not a good fit with McDavid though, that is for sure

Russia and Switzerland games were the best for TC, we still played good against Sweden but not as good as the others

He can thank Virtanen for the back check / hit that started that play.

Also pretty weak play by the defenseman, was Ritchie even touched when he drove the net?

Virtanen had a great game, I haven't once said anything bad about him.

Ritchie had a nice power move to finish off that goal.

The issue is that with lazar and ritchie you have two grinding power forwards. I think McDavid would look better if he had a sniper on that line to feed. And no that doesn't mean Virtanen, although IMO he's the best pure sniper on the team.

He's getting top 6 minutes because he's got NHL experience. He's a future 3rd line energy guy. Him/Ritchie (other than that one goal), don't have enough skill/vision to take advantage of what McDavid brings to the table.

Imo a passenger on his line, but he has had some alright passes.
I have to question if you know anything about Hockey if you think Reinhart is a passenger on that line. He's the one carrying the line... but he's not a speedster so he's a passenger in your world.

It was a good play all round ya. But Ritchie wasn't contested at all after he came off the wall with the puck. Pretty soft and bad defense there

it was only a matter of time for the pucks to bounce the right way for duclair and domi
I believe the same will be said about mcdavid in a game or two, only a matter of time before his efforts lead to more goals

I wouldn't go that far but yes, that poster is underrating Reinhart's contributions.
