Uh, what? Pretty much everyone is happy, even most real Canadian fans. It was an entertaining game that meant nothing. Americans are happy about the win, not hysterical, just happy.

What's your issue?

This. Regardless of the score that was one entertaining hockey game.

Bergeron/Crosby were the two best Canadian players.

USA was Quick. Suter was the best D for the US.

It's also worth noting that Canada is notorious for starting slow in international tournaments. Full credit to the U.S. though for showing up in front of great home crowd.

Ottawa do your part tomorrow! Pump up the volume!

Why are we all bent out of shape over exhibition. It was exciting. Fun. Scary but damn save the animosity for the real ones. Both teams could improve tbh

Better team won tonight, as per usual their is alot of parity anyone can win these days if you think Canada could field 3 teams and sweep the medals than I guess ignorance is bliss.

This was a tough game...Yanks were taking no prisoners...If they played like that against a Euro team...in exhibition no less ...it'd be shades of Philthy vs Red Army ' They're going Home' all over again...

well when a team just lost and fans of said team throw out chirps of: "usa has no top players", "usa is a goon squad", or "if we had player X playing, we would have won". that is going to invite snarky comments..

the reality is canada is still going to win this, price is going to be just fine as well as the rest of the roster...calling players out on a first game since the end of the season is pretty silly and shows a lack of knowledge.

All respect fellow duckie, but it's pretty much the same 2 teams playing tomorrow. If a nag ran lousy today, why would you bet on her tomorrow. It's not like tomorrow is 'next season'.

Keep it classy Canadian fans. Good to see you take losses with class and integrity. From what I saw from this game Canada assembled an all star team and team USA assembled a team designed to go far in the Stanley cup finals, but with immense more talent than the average Stanley Cup playoff team and with a hell of lot more jam.


I think any team who plays team usa is gonna be hurting for the following 24 hour after. Without a doubt.

Been more entertained the past two days than nearly the whole of what happened down in Rio. Hope the players keep it up, it's great to have hockey back. Absolutely love seeing the difference in team building between US and Canada. Should be a great tourney if these games are any indication of what's to come.

They were great at the WJC when they hosted that, what a crowd!!

It may be too much to expect those rarified heights this time around but I think they will do us proud, especially after this loss.
