Larkin too, he's been impressive with his speed. As fast as this team is Larkin is standing out in that regard.

I wanna see him and McDavid.

At least the other D are out of position because they are try to create offense. Trouba will be out of position just to lay a hit.

lol. They are young they will make mistakes. But one thing is for certain, every single team would love to have their hands on almost every single one of these guys playing in NAu23

Yeah - think he's earned a promotion to a higher line. Move Eichel down and put Larkin up there.
 
Nuge is the most disrespected and underrated star NHL player. Kid is an excellent player.

Agreed.

This is exactly like the GDT's for the Leafs when all the young guys started playing and I'm sure the same is going to happen this season.

There are also people who are taking any criticism as pot-shot. Eichel is having a bad game, it has nothing to do with the fact that he plays for Buffalo, he's just having a bad game. Rielly has made some glaring mistakes, it has nothing to do with the fact that he plays for Toronto, he's just made some glaring mistakes.

Yeah there are people taking pot-shots, but there are also people being overly defensive. It's a bad combination.

Pretty much. When you think about the current top NHL D for the most part they didn't hit elite status until they were older than this team allows. All of these defensemen have bright futures ahead of them but they aren't going to be equal to Doughty/Karlsson/Hedman/etc in this tournament
 
Nick Kypreos calling Team Europe having rich history and expecting them to show emotions and really care . :lol: Look when you're building wierd teams All-Star teams like this you're not getting anything but maybe some nice hockey.

I agree. Larkin could work much better with McDavid than Eichel. Replace Gaudreau with Scheifele as well and we have a line.

Quite a busy preseason for some of the guys, Olympic qualis and this tourney now.
 
Entire Team NA D credited with 2 hits so far. Trouba had 4 hits in game 1. I don't care so much about hits as a stat, but Team NA will get steamrolled in their own end by bigger and better teams than Europe if they don't play more physically in their own end. I love the pace and skill of Team NA, but you can't play like ringette in your own zone.

He could bring more offense, but on a team like this and with the linemates he has, his playstyle is incredibly valuable though. His board work and breakout passes have been great.

No doubt. I don't think have ever seen such poor posting as during these World Cup EXHIBITION threads. It's terrible.
