UnbiasDekes?
Seems like a promotion will be necessary then in order to make it tougher to poach!Heard his #1 GM candidate is the red stapler.
Keefe?
Murray?
*Spezza?
Metcalf is the only one that has never played organised hockey at any level. Pridham and Reidv have played jockey at lower levels.Yes please.
And take all of those spreadsheet gimps who never actually played hockey that he brought in and gave out “Assistant GM” titles.
Dubas pushed hard for a “group think” front office in Toronto of analytics nerds like him.
Let’s see if he does the same thing in Pittsburgh.

I hope them but there isn’t a team that would want Murray the train wreckKeefe?

Even Bobby Orr is only worth so much, if these players are asking for crazy money you get rid of them, it’s as simple as that………..Let's face it, it's not Spezza this thread was created for.
The odds of Matthews getting 15 in Pittsburgh? Marner and Dubas reunion?
At the very least it will be a source of "potential" offers that will drive our next contracts through the roof. It was bad with imaginary offers for JT, imagine real from Dubas trolling Leafs.
Pridham would seem to be a possible target. Seems to be very respected and a so-called cap genius. Dubas said his new GM in pittsburgh could be "someone who is ‘progressive’ and might feature a skillset he doesn’t have.". Not sure if Pridham is that guy, but I think with Dubas's ego, as VP he's going to call alot of the shots and his GM will be someone who follows Kyle's lead. Of course I have no proof of that but just my feeling. Pridham would fit that bill, and as a current AGM, a promotion to a GM position may well entice him to walk. Dubas also said he wouldn't hire one until after June as alot are under contract until then and he'd need "permissions". I think he'll be shopping in the Leafs yard for sure.
The same could have been said last offseason as well...and there's only the one season left on his contract now.I hope them but there isn’t a team that would want Murray the train wreck
That’s true but I’m guessing. Dubas is relieved to walk away from his Leaf mistakes with a clean slate so I doubt he wants that mess of a goalie backThe same could have been said last offseason as well...and there's only the one season left on his contract now.
You make a valid point. I just think the possibility exists due to Murray's past success with Pittsburgh, their apparent need for a goalie as things currently stand, and the ability of Dubas in this role to make it happen. That’s true but I’m guessing. Holl and Kerfoot might be going to Pitts.Someone has to sign Justin Holl and watch his mistakes over and over
