Seider took someone to the ice in a scrum started by Ryfors and barely avoids getting tossed. Mo looked like he wanted to drop the gloves so badly
Saw an interview last year where he said he'd never been in a fight, but couldn't wait for it to happen. He's a beast, but I hope he gets in a little practice so he knows what he's doing.

The interesting thing about that scrum was how effortlessly he dropped both of them. He wasn't even trying to put them onto the ice. Granted the second guy was giving away what looked to be 20-30 pounds but he didn't even have to apply himself and just dropped both of them.

I hope his initial fights at the NHL level aren't against true experienced heavyweights but he without question has the physical abilities to intimidate and dominate someone. He could use some experience with leverage and technique but the potential is there. Granted in that scrum he wasn't going at it with anyone but he easily just got them to the ground with little resistance.

Karl Henriksson and William Eklund are missing the WJC because they got the 'Rona. Expect Theodore Niederbach to make the top line for Sweden.

This is good for Niederbach but definitely has a negative impact on Sweden's chance of getting a medal this year. They're looking incredibly thin at center.

From a Detroit perspective it could potentially also be very interesting deployment of Raymond.

Montén (HC of team Sweden) has stated that Raymond is a back-up center solution, so if enough centers are missing, then Raymond will be the 1C.
Not sure if there are enough centers missing yet to make him consider that, but then again they haven't even left Sweden yet, and they have already lost their 1C and 2C...

Both Söserblom and Niederbach have better chanches now?

Niederbach definitely, I don't see a reason to keep him out now (outside of injuries or sickness ofcourse).

Söderblom, I think the main issue is if he will be healthy, he was supposed to play for Frölunda on Saturday, but he had a set-back with his foot during the practice on Friday.

It could also lead to both Grewe and Soderblom playing up in the lineup. Grewe is listed as C/RW so maybe he gets put on the 3rd or 4th line as the center.

Doesn't impact either when it comes to moving up the lineup, and Grewe isn't playing center. Söderblom moves to C before that would happen. Not too sure why Grewe is listed as a C, it's like how Jonathan Marchessault is listed as a C, like... Why?

Anyway, Berggren has been selected for another NT tournament, this time with mostly KHLers, in Russia.

It was supposed to be only KHL players but they couldn't make it work so they added some SHL players.

Good for Berggren imo to get more of that experience.

Awesome to hear. (Paywall)

Niklas Kronwall has been in close contact with Johansson, sending Johansson clips of his shifts, passing along feedback and, at one point, getting on the ice with him in Karlstad.
“It means a lot because he (has) been over there for a long time, and he knows how it is,” Johansson said. “… I’m listening to a lot of what he says and all that because he knows how it is over there and just (tries) to tell me a little bit how it is and help me along my way. So of course I listen and take in as much as I can.”
Pennerborn highlighted all the small details Kronwall can teach an up-and-comer like Johansson, saying “you can’t value that, it’s so important.” He also has former NHL defenseman Peter Popovic on staff as Färjestad defense coach, giving Johansson another NHL voice in his ear as he progresses toward the league himself.

In Sweden, Albert Johansson makes progress on his checklist for success

Grewe and Wallinder are out for the WJC after positive covid tests.

This pandemic really sucks, eh?

Damn our prospects are dropping like flies. Mastrosimone, Wallider, Grewe all not playing whos next...

This is really starting to affect my excitement level of the tournament. We were gonna have like 9 guys there...

Seider not getting an assist on the 1st Rogle goal because he was the 4th to touch it, but he did a nice job being patient along the blueline and helping to get a play set up on the PP

I had forgot about him, but once I noticed him it seemed like Setkov was getting a lot of ice time, particularly at the end of the game
