I guess it's a good way to let Rowdy get reps in while Springer works himself into shape to play OF.

Better than letting him rot on the bench.

It's also not a straight demotion to AAA and is more like attending a mini-training camp.

Very interested to see how this goes. I'd prefer Biggio in the 2-spot purely because he gets on base very well and seems to have regained that ability since returning from injury.

I'd go.
Springer
Biggio
Vladdy
Bo
Grichuk

Switching Bo and Biggio in Montoyo's lineup makes sense to me.

Bichette for me profiles as a better option batting 4th or 5th with his career .336 obp and .530 slugging %

Tellez is hitting .282 (11-39) and slugging .410 since his 0-23 start. Feel bad for him that he's getting booted after putting in the work to right the ship and having much better at-bats recently.

Also, not gonna lie - as interesting as it will be to see Springer, it's a bit disconcerting to hear that such an important asset was 'only 80%' during yesterday's broadcast and that he's now going to be playing today because he's 'sick of being on IR'. Hopefully he isn't getting rushed back only to re-injure himself again.

BA has Toronto taking Sam Bachman with the 19th pick.

He's a hard-throwing college right hander with an atypical delivery.

I might be more comfortable taking pitches Ryan Cusick who goes with the next pick to the Yankees, but it's hard to argue with two 70 grade pitches.

19. Sam Bachman

Miami (Ohio)RHP

Notes:

If we’re just looking at pure stuff, Bachman likely shouldn’t last this long. However, it’s a pretty good year for college pitchers, and with a number of premium high school athletes in the class as well, perhaps Toronto finds itself a pair of 70-grade pitches with Bachman at No. 19. Wherever Bachman winds up, he should become the highest-drafted player out of Miami (Ohio).

I'm new to MLB: The Show but their ultimate team mode has this mechanic where players go up and down based on how players perform every other week i think? There's no way he doesn't ****ing skyrocket give his OPS, SLG and OBP are currently in the realm of somewhere between baseball jesus and thor.

Suffice to say i have have bought 10 Vladdy Jr cards since he's piss cheap and is only like a 75 overall. Stonks go up.

I apologize in advance if my overbuying turns Vlad into a lemon.

when hes a diamond and a 5k quick sell..unlikely.

Definitely working the long game here. Base Vlad's hitting stats are absolute garbage so he can easily break diamond if he gets the boosts there. Just might take a bit.

Anyone else I should be looking at grabbing? I missed the Buxton train and probably the Burns train if he continues to play like he has.

Edit: f*** what a cool mode this is compared to trash card based modes you find in other sports games.

If you want to hold him until the ASB be my guest. Best case scenario tomorrow he hits low gold and will drop a bit, if he ends up as a 78/79 it will be a feeding frenzy.

I didn't like the long term investing this year as much because the season had already started (rip my 850 Shane Biebers in MLB '19), but usually right after a roster update is the best time to invest since the market gets flooded.

e: and yeah DD is way better than anything EA puts out.

This is my 1st MLB The Show game (im an Xbox player) so i never knew that Diamond Dynasty cards can change overalls. i actually like that compared to them remaining the same over the entire year.

However i absolutely suck at the game. I cant hit the ball to save my life :help:

It's just one of the modes in the game. It's basically fantasy team mode where you can use players from all different eras to build a team in the form of cards (For instance, I have an Alomar and Carter card on my bench)

What we were talking about is cards in the game can go up or down in value/ability depending on how they play. So a guy like Vlad Jr, who is a pretty bad card in the grand scheme of things is due an upgrade because of his incredible start.

If that's not your fancy, The Show has regular modes to play. Best sports game on the market bar none and I'm so glad it finally came to xbox so I can actually play it and get good at it.

My best advice is to watch the ball out of the pitcher's hand and ignore your PCI. And use one of the more zoomed in hitting cameras.
