After 15 minutes, guess who has touched the ball the most in that France/Gibraltar game?

Exactly. WZE.

And he intercepts, passes and SCORES !!!!!

Then and there
He scored, but was he injured doing so? 2nd youngest French goal scorer ever (youngest is a guy over hundred years ago).

The player who tackled at his ankle is sent off.

But he has to go out because the defenseman made a horror tackle on the goal. Red card for the Gibraltar guy.

1914. Fair to say youngest really.

You can see it's an english ref when a player takes the ball with his hand the he's the only guy in the statium to not see it.
VAR has to call him.

This is ridiculous really, France on their way into double figures. It's like watching an Oceania match where Australia/New Zealand used to pummel some island nation.

Polska effed around and found out. Allowing Albania, effin' Albania out of all nations to get a Euro spot is beyond pathetic.

France now leading at their record win 11-0, maybe they can reach Germany's all-time Euro qual win record 13-0, still 15 mins left.

Now another sub Giroud scores. This must be, if not record number of different goalscorers for one team in a match, then very close to it.

Edit: Giroud's goal was disallowed for offside, although I think it shouldn't have. He was offside in the first Mbappe pass attempt, which failed. But then Mbappe got the ball back from Gibraltar player and Giroud wasn't offside when his new pass happened.

Mbappe scores France's 12th anyway moments later.

Edit: Now scores the record equalling 13th goal on 89th minute. And then Giroud makes it a record with a pretty overhead kick, after Theo Hernandez shot was blocked.

The Swiss doing everything possible to throw this away, while they haven't lost yet way too many draws. Romania down to 10 men now but Israel need two goals late

Group B and Group I is settled in terms of teams qualifying, winner of Group I still needs to be decided and it will be a h2h on the final MD. The playoff picture is also starting to clear up with one more match round to go in the next three days

The Dutch qualify after their win over ROI, even if they somehow lose to Gibraltar they have a better h2h than Greece, France win the group. In the other group, Israel lose three games in a row and as a result both Romania and Switzerland qualify. Romania host Switzerland in a few days and only need a draw to win the group. The Swiss have drawn 5 of their 9 matches so far. Kosovo is eliminated, Israel have the playoff security. This result also means Norway are eliminated from the playoffs

Playoff situation:
A: Poland know they are here, they have to wait next few days to see who qualifies. Italy and Croatia have destiny in their own hands, so if they both qualify, Poland will host their semi. Wales and Czech Republic are guaranteed spots in A should they not qualify

B: We know the two hosts, Bosnia-Herzegovina will host SF1 and Israel will 'host' SF2. Their opponents will likely be somebody along the likes of Finland, Iceland and depending on their final MD Ukraine

C: Georgia will host SF1 and Greece will host SF2, Luxembourg are guaranteed to be involved but have to wait to see who their opponent is, all depending on Kazakhstan. if Kazakhstan don't qualify they go into this grouping, if they do the lucky team is Azerbaijan

So to be clear, winner of BiH/SF1 plays winner of Israel/SF2 to qualify?

None of those Spanish 16 year olds were destroyed by Loftus Cheek

WZE got outmuscled in spots, as RLC had a fantastic game against PSG, but if WZE is as good as he was in that match while getting destroyed, I don't want to think about how dominant he is on a good day.

And none dominated Milan in the previous game.
He was never destroyed he was outmuscled ONCE by RLC. Over 90 minutes.

Pretty sure it was more than once, as RLC had a very strong match, but yeah. Despite getting outmuscled a few times, I wouldn't even say WZE had a bad game.

You already know I'm a big fan of his, just compared him to a 17yo Bellingham on another thread, but I had to answer to that cheap shot to Spain.

Head to head is so much better as a tie-breaking criteria than goal difference. With goal difference qualifying may depend on whether you beat Gibraltar 14-0 instead of just 10-0.

Eh, head 2 head can come down to which matches your best players are fit for, which isn't exactly fairer.
