France, Belgium and Portugal first teams to officially qualify. The Dutch go to Greece, draw would be ok for them as they have a game in hand but if they lose it’s likely playoffs for them. Ireland out of contention after losing at home to Greece

Luxembourg managed only a draw in Iceland so they likely have to beat Slovakia next match day to have any hope to qualify. Iceland pretty much out of automatic qualification contention but they will be in the playoffs

Personally, I think Portugal has the best overall starting line-up (although arguably C.Ronaldo shouldn't start, but he doesn't bring them down that much unless it is against the very best national teams).

The difference with France is minimal though, and Mbappe is single handedly a better difference maker than anything Portugal has.

We have better goalie, better defensive depth, better central midfielders and Mbappe up front.
I love Portugal's roster but I think we have a better team on paper.

France easily has the better roster. Not just depth but they are not rolling out with 40 year old Pepe as a CB

SCOTLAND GOT ABSOLUTELY ARSED ON THAT FOUL / OFFSIDE NO GOAL!!!! Entire game worth of phony officiating.
The fix was on in that game... running into guys just outside the penalty box and not giving up a free kick.... wow...

Pretty bad loss for Finland, Slovenia have the tougher fixture list ahead but now they also own the h2h over the Fins

At least Finland isn't as bad as Bulgaria, their 90's glory days of Stoichkov & co and now only a distant memory.

The country is poor by EU standards and their population is surprisingly small at 7 million.

It's still surprising what has happened with them. Is Bulgaria currently good in any sports at all?

In football Bulgaria these days is a minnow, they are not even on the level of the likes of Romania, Albania, Wales, Ireland (etc) who qualify here and there and are somewhat competitive. Its a drastic fall, though its a very corrupt country as their FA is much the same. In the back of my mind I fear the same will happen with Croatia down the line, especially now that even the domestic league is more than 50% foreign

As for other sports, they aren't good at any team sports, but looking at their Olympics result they have success in individual sports such as gymnastics and wrestling

Big goal for Italy, as Bonaventura scores his first NT goal at the ripe old age of 34, to put Italy ahead against Malta after 22 mins.

Edit: Berardi extends the lead just before half-time. Danes are also 2-0 up at half-time against Kazakhs. Hojlund with a nice set-up for their 2nd goal.

Edit2: beautiful long range through pass by Eriksen for Skov to score his 2nd at the start of second half.

I remember they had a pretty good Quidditch team...

Hungary with back to back wins over Serbia in good shape not only to qualify but be seeded in the Euro draw. Serbia face a potentially tricky match with Montenegro to determine 2nd

Denmark and Italy with east wins, still work to do for both, Denmark have a manageable route on paper and can effectively qualify with win over Slovenia. Italy depending on their result in England midweek might need a result in the final match day over Ukraine

Finland is at 20-30 in Europe. Sometimes that is good enough for 24 teams euros, sometimes it isn't.

Must win game for Norway today, should they not against Spain at home, Scotland will qualify, Turkey after their massive win in Croatia only need to beat Latvia at home to qualify, they can qualify with a draw as well but then other results need to go their way. Wales pretty much must win against Croatia today, if they do, they control their own destiny due to a better h2h than Croatia. Albania are off today but they can qualify as well should results go their way, however the big battle in that group is realistically between Poland/Czechs for 2nd spot

Czech still held to a scoreless draw at half-time at home against Faroe Islands.

Edit: Soucek PK puts them ahead at 75 mins.

Belarus blew a 3:1 lead in Switzerland in the final minutes and are eliminated (not that they had much of a chance anyway), Swiss almost scored the winner in 97th minute. Belarus scored on all their shots on target

And I was mad we drew them on a neutral ground, Switzerland (who desperately need a change of guard, and to stop using players who can't play football like Lotomba and Itten) managed to draw them at home, and just barely. Czechia was also close to an embarassment, as they needed a late penalty to beat Feroe at home.

It's our time now to avoid embarassment, as we play Andorra at home. Only kids can be in the stands though, as UEFA is allergic to facts.

Stranberg was about to score an own goal, but Morata stupidly touches the ball on the goal line, so the goal was disallowed for offside.

Another awful performance by Croatia, Wales should be winning, just like last match Turkey should have won by 2-3 goals
