The mental gymnastics here are unbelievable. For once an English ref does something according to the rule book and this is what we get.
Except it isn’t according to the rule book, as explained, both according to the letter of the law and the spirit of it.

For those wanting to follow the strict letter of the law, Vicario should have just been carded for carrying the ball away after it went out for a corner. But that would have been absurd.

Nice run by Jackson but just didn't wrap his foot around that enough.

Moving much too slow.

Basically the same story three weeks in a row now. Lots of possession, lots of pressure, lots of chances… but goals nowhere to be found.

Good to get the win but Newcastle has a lot to be worked on still with the same problems persisting over the first 3 games.

Thought Chelsea played well enough to win.

Eze shot was just unreal.

Just didn’t have enough quality finishing from the attackers. Could have been a red in the 46th at 1-0 as well.

Casemiro yet again a liability. Why is he playing? Staple his ass to the bench, send him to the reserves, send his ass to the Saudis. Get him out of the club.
