Yea that was actually a smart play. Got luck with the deflection, but it's much better to send it than to try to control it and set something up given there's more defenders coming back than attackers.

Lose the ball, have it luckily bounce to a teammate, let a teammate do the real work, and then knock it in totally open from 10 yards out.

You're really something when it comes to scouting.

Lockyer is one of the worst PL players I’ve seen in a while based on this game lol

I mean he's played almost as many league one games as he did Championship. This is definitely above his level, hell the Championship is nearly above him. But he's a good leader and hard worker which makes up for some of that lack of skill.

Luton is gonna leak a *lot* of goals this year, especially if they keep trying to be aggressive.

Where do you put the over/under on that team, 85? It's gonna be brutal regardless.

Right now they're just playing with house money and giving their all. If they start to look like they have a chance for survival then I'm sure they'll play a more conservative and defensive style.

Not much we can really takeaway with the opponent, but Sterling and Jackson will have confidence boosters, so that's good.

The Disasi/Silva/Colwill chemistry is a work-in-progress but the rest seems fairly good.

Not a bad debut for Caicedo considering he doesn't fully look up to pace......broke up some plays like he's supposed to and moved the ball forward decently.

Maybe, but I wouldn't be shocked if Colwill and Badiashile play in the lineup together.

Don't think it seems like a great idea for Maddison to start considering that he had a swollen ankle after United. Only started training yesterday. Would have been the perfect time to start Lo Celso. Can't help but feel bad for him. He had a great preseason but didn't even get subbed on the first two games and now this.
