What records has Hutson broken or what records is he about to break? Genuinely curious. And how do rookie dman records compare to records wingers and centers have a chance to break?

Hutsons season so far:
61GP 4G 44A 48 pts

Hutsons last 40 games - roughly since he was promoted to PP1
4G 33A 37 points. -2
Pace of 8G/68A/76 points -4 per 82.

If Hutson can continue on his offensive pace from the past 40 games till the end of the season he could end up with
6G 61A 67 points
That would be top 5 All time points by a rookie D (Murphy 76, Leetch 71, Suter 68, Housley 66, Bourque 65)

And 1 more than the ALL TIME rookie record of 60 assists set by Larry Murphy back in 1980-81, and 6 more than second place Chelios who finished with 55 assists back in 84-85.

Hutson is having a rookie season for the ages, all while not having a consistent defensive partner and often playing on his off side. Its insane actually.

Celebrini is awesome and may even have a better career than Hutson but right now, this season, the above cannot be stressed enough. What Hutson is doing is incredible. The fact that he is about to insert himself within a list that only includes guys that played in the 80s is just nuts. All the while doing it on a team that is very average.

What Celebrini is doing is also incredible. The last time the Flames played the Sharks they showed a stat where the names on the list were McDavid, Crosby... etc.

The reality is it should probably be a toss-up, but from what I've seen in the past in such situations, is that the votes tend to go to the younger player who is often also has more name recognition.

The trophy in itself is one of the most meaningless trophies awarded in hockey along with the lady byng and just slightly less meaningless Selke.

Still doesn't mean we can't discuss the significance of the seasons these rookies are having.

Subban and Price didn't get massive contracts because they won a trophy. They got it because they had great seasons. The trophy don't matter much in contract negotiations besides it saying that the player is the best at his position.

Again, the poster pointed out that Matheson only plays more because he's on the PK. Hutson plays more at ES and on the PP.... Honestly no one who watches more than 2 or 3 habs game would say that Matheson gives you a better chance to win right now. No one.

Again. Look at the pic you posted. It's even-strenght. You've already been warned about this. This stat sheet includes empty net goals, where he is 0gf 13ga.

You've just proven once more how dishonest you are.

I dare you to post an equivalent with 5v5 only, but I know you won't because you've been challenged on this already and still haven't put up.

Hutson's 5v5 GA/60 is 2.87. Hardly a bad defensive stat.
