Michkov is 5+5 in 12 gp in November, Celebrini is 7+4 in 13 games. Probably this time Rookie of the Month will go to SJ.

Celebrini is actually 7+5 in 14 already...

Lane Hutson will win it in the end, if he doesn't get hurt
With his 4 primary assist and zero goals?

Michkov will win it with 33 goals 37 assist 70 points
Stankoven will be 2nd with 19 goals 41 assist 60 points
Celebrini 3rd with 25 goals 28 assist 53 points
Wolf 4th with 24 wins 2.71 GAA 9.14 SV%
Hutson 5th with 2 goals 38 assist 40 points

They'll give it to Celebrini since Michkov already had it, but it should go to Michkov, stats are even but Michkov has had 3 OT goals.

3 game winning goals also for Celebrini.

Probably one of the more fun Calder races to watch. Lots of contenders, this year. Too bad Edvinsson from Detroit wasn't included in this year's crop because of a couple of extra games, last year.

2 players who are on pace for 66 points each respectively (counting games missed as of today) and saying the one that has played 8 more games to reach that point is miles better offensively.

Michkov had the same ppg at the same amount of games with worse usage and line mates, make it make sense?

Season ain't over Bro

If anything, Hutson is by far the best rookie defenseman of this year and one of the top prospect of his class, which is absurdly strong

Still a lot of games to be played, but so far I'd put Michkov just a little bit ahead of the other four or five rookies in contention.

Michkov is at .83 and celebrini is at .93 points per game.

Stankoven had 14 points after 15 games, and now he has 15 points after 21 games, i.e. just 1 assist in the last 6 games. NHL season is tough. Michkov has already played 23 games, and Celebrini still needs to get there...

Not these guys who refuse to acknowledge usage and refuse to acknowledge that Michkov was in the exact same spot point wise in the exact same amount of games. Logic isn’t friendly to everyone.

The two early faves at Forwad:

Stank has 8pts (2 on PP) in 8 games @ 15:33 TOI

Michov has 7pts (6 on PP) in 7 games @ 19:09 TO

I don’t know how much the ice time discrepancy and ‘5v5 vs PP’ spread matters in eyes of the voters
It's clear you're painting with a biased brush. Why don't you include Stankoven secondary assist and Michkov goals? How about Stankovens multiple empty net points?

Wolf and Celebrini are easily the best two rookies so far but one is a goalie and the other missed a month through injury, which allows other names to creep into the conversation.

I have a hard time thinking it won't be Celebrini when all is said and done, especially after the way the voters rushed to annoint Bedard with the Calder that should have been Faber's last year.
Michkov EASILY better than Celebrini as we've seen every game with Michkov having incredibly poor puck luck and Celebrini the opposite. and then there's the head to head domination Michkov exhibited.

Stankoven is not on a powerplay unit with those guys

Ultimately Stankoven's chances at the Calder will actually be hurt by the fact the Stars are a deep team. Michkov will get all the prime opportunities he needs, while the Stars have plenty of options which means other guys will take priority over Stankoven. He's essentially got 15 points in 19 games on the 3rd line/2nd PP (only 3 PP points too). Averaging almost a full 2 minutes less a game TOI than Michkov

Side effect of being on a good/deep team. Oh well
The irony in this, Michkov has played most of the year on the 3rd and 4th line mixed up with a combination of Richard, Poehling, Cates, Laughton, ETC. His most common linemates are Frost (10 points) and Tippett (12 points) due the bottom 6 shuffle.

Stankoven has rarely played off the top 6 and his most common linemates are Hintz and Robertson, followed by Wyatt and Benn.

Are we really pretending Michov has "better opportunity"?

What kind of argument is that? One game sample size?
You must have missed the part where i said every game including the head to head.

Michkov should have 6 points more than he does from unsustainable low on ice shooting percentage and puck luck while playing mostly on the 3rd line, Celebrini plays 1st line every game and 3 minutes more a night with unsustainable high on ice shooting percentage suggesting he's 3 points over expected.

Then there's the eye test, if you watch the games, both players, it's immediately evidence the difference in IQ and skill level.

Celebrini is the better skater and that's all.
Celebrini plays with much better linemates and more minutes
Michkov has scores at the higher rate P60 despite that

He's just better and in time these Celebrini vs
Bedard vs Michkov polls will look extremely silly. Celebrini isn't on their level.
