I’d have been surprised if anything had already been decided. It’s only been two days from the end of the season. Gotta take some time to decompress emotionally, because emotional decision are not good decisions, meet with people, talk it out. You’d think that would be this weeks work at the high levels of MLSE.

There’s a numbered company jointly owned by Rogers and Bell, 50-50, that owns the 75% interest in MLSE they jointly hold. That company votes in MLSE decisions with its 75% to ensure they vote together as opposed to a vote of 37.5% Rogers, 37.5% Bell and 25% Larry.
That's true, but on the other hand, we've been watching mostly the same movie for many years now.
The problem is when the ref only gives you two PPs in an elimination game and your team is absolute dogshit at ES.
If you're talking about EDM last night, I though they played well myself but lost because of poor goaltending. Saying they were absolute dogshit is just so far off from reality, did you even watch the game? That was a really good game played by two good teams, too bad Skinner sucked.

We have multiple posters in this thread complaining about what the players are saying in these pressers. I wonder how those posters would answer similar questions if they were part of a team (sports, business, whatever) that underperformed (to some) in their year.
Many do have to answer for poor performance because they work regular jobs and aren’t paid millions in guaranteed money no matter what happens or how they perform.

You enjoying the answers? Nothing at all wrong or off about any of them? Everything’s perfect in your eyes so nothing’s worth criticizing?

I am going to go out on a limb and say the core does not enjoy going through this.
I don't blame them. no one in the core can be self-taught to play playoff hockey and no one, somehow, in the Leafs' coaching staff can teach them to play playoff hockey, You were a winner in your youth, now, you are labeled a loser as a pro.

If Matthews really wants to stay here, that's good news. Unless of course he wants 14 million a year, then it's not.

If the can resign Matty and Nylander, trade Marned for a good return and bring in a good coach who will somehow instill some pride in these guys, there's hope. If Keefe is back though, I'm gonna puke.

You’re not going to win in the playoffs with only 2 goals scored, especially when Ekholm is your only NHL calibre defender, the forwards don’t back check, and you have no reliable goalies in your organization. They left Marchessault alone in front of the net all night, which is fine if you’re cheating on D to score more goals than he is, but not so much if you get shut out for 58 minutes of the game while he drops a hat trick on you.

He’s gone . Move on and get over it.
 There's nothing to get over for me bud, I'm okay with either outcome, I just find it hilarious how desperate you guys are to declare something when the guy himself hasn't even made a decision and won't be for a while still.

ROR was a total non factor in the Florida series and was god awfully slow like JT.

This move was nowhere near as good as Dubas fans made it out to be. Dude was clearly injured and weathered too.

If the players wants reflect our club's needs, so be it. If not, it doesn't matter what the players want if they're contrary to the team's needs.

I still think hockey is an extremely random sport and the best team doesn't always win.
At a game level......sure that happens.

Over a playoff series, the better team almost always wins.
