I am a Leafs fan, I will be here regardless of who is in charge.

We just have very different opinions on who is best for the team.

We've tried both experience and inexperience at the coaching and GM positions.

I still think hockey is an extremely random sport and the best team doesn't always win.

Driving Matthews out of town seems insane, I am open to other changes, but I'd prefer Dubas do it over most GMs in the league.

We'll in that case I look forward to having discussions with you in the future no matter the GM

Disagree. I thought the Oilers played really well and lost because their goaltending was pretty bad. They outplayed Vegas last night for sure.

You say in the playoffs, +- is a very important stat, I think that for the most part +- is a terrible stat to judge individual players. What is really important in the playoffs however is as the old cliche says - special teams and goaltending. And if they get most of their points on the PP, who cares? PP goals count just the same as all the other goals, what's the problem?

Dumping on the Oiler stars and saying they can't play D seems to be the trendy thing to do but IMO McD and Drai are amazing players and I'd take both of them over Marner without hesitation. In fact I'd almost say I'd take either one of them over any of our players except not sure about Drai over Matthews though I might take that too, not sure.

Flip the goaltending and EDM goes through to the next round, easy.

The problem is when the ref only gives you two PPs in an elimination game and your team is absolute dogshit at ES.

O’Reilly dad tweeted basically a good bye message to leafs fans . He’s 100% gone.

Hopefully so….not worth the cap hit and he may be the slowest player on the ice. Didn’t offer any grit…didn’t cause havoc. Didn’t make players around him better.

I hope another team gives him his retirement check

There are definitely worse GMs than Dubas out there but I'd rather move on with the hopes that they find someone better than put up with this mediocre at best GM out of fear that the replacement is horrible

It always seems weird to me people trying to find every fault possible in McDavid to downplay him. We all know he is surrounded by a superstar player, and not much else. The D and goaltending is shoddy. If Matthews and Marner performed the way he did and the team still bowed out, minimal criticism would be directed to them (and only by those who hate everything about the team).

Anyways...

For me, I'm not so much disappointed in them losing, it's that this was yet another wasted opportunity. Similar to 2002 losing to Carolina in the conference finals. The path this year was set for the team to go all the way, and to me they had the most talented roster to do so (Carolina would make an argument if their three injured players were healthy). Sucks it'll be at least another 12 months before we even get a chance to see this team make a push for the long-awaited Cup we're dying to see.

Tbh the players loving the GM is part of the issue

In the title year Lowry hated Masai for most of the season you have to have a degree of separation to make the tough choices and squeeze the money out in contracts

We have multiple posters in this thread complaining about what the players are saying in these pressers. I wonder how those posters would answer similar questions if they were part of a team (sports, business, whatever) that underperformed (to some) in their year.
