And yet….. he still lost.
Being angry doesn’t make you a winner
Mcdavid had 20 pts in 12 games

He dominated R1 and R2 overall

Oilers have a sieve in net and defense they had a 6M making 9.5M

They're burning almost 9M which is costing the oilers the finishing pieces

Oilers aren't held back by their stars underperforming like the leafs are

For an awful lot of Leafs fans, it’s a fun way to spend a few hours every week from season’s start to whenever it ends. Whatever happens, happens. When it’s over, it’s time to shift energies towards other things in their lives. Sure, it would be great fun to see them win a cup and it’s always disappointing when they lose. But honestly, for an awful lot of us, what the Leafs do has little impact on our lives, so we feel no need to get terribly upset over their performance.
The games are fun to watch (often/sometimes) but for some of us this intrigue is also a whole of lot fun too.

On comments about Florida's physicality...

I have zero doubt, to whatever effect it would have had, that Rasmus Sandin would have stood up for his team.

Draisaitl disappeared when it mattered.

He may not be a fully cooked NHL defenseman but I'll say that lil son of gun has a more competitive heart than most of the current team.

It’s really fascinating to me how much matthews and marner really go out of their way to piss fans off.
-take max dollars on a 5/6 yr deal
-when their back is against the wall the standard “we’re blocking out the outside noise”
-when eliminated “we have a lot of belief in there”

Marner really needs a coach. a PR coach of Some kind. Crosby and mcdavid doesn’t say these things
Personally, absolutely none of those bothers me in the slightest. Being annoyed by them may say more about the particular fan than it does about Matthews or Marney.

And neither took max dollars, that would be 20% of the cap. Now if you wanted to say an overly high number of dollars, that would probably be much more accurate.

ROR is definitely aging but IMO a retool is needed and his leadership could be big for younger guys coming up

Personally he's better days are behind him and hes a step slower
Not sure if I want him around.

We have enough players to provide leadership if that's what it came down to. We still have Gio

The player I want to resign is Acciari. Was a true soldier end to end

Ehhhh I liked ROR but I feel like his lack of speed is a big issue. He had very low impact when the Leafs needed him the most. I'd be very concerned about his next contract.

Leafs need center depth so obviously if the contract is alright then for sure it could work out.
