I hope they're all gone. Big 4 to Dubas. Maybe this delay is because Shanny is having his second house cleaning.

The move for Shanny to let Dubas/Keefe speak today while he waits a few days tells me that he's evaluating their futures. He cant go up there today to say they are back or not because he doesn't have that answer yet. I dont think the board is going to fire Shanny, seems they are going to keep him and let him make the decisions on the GM and Coach.

Masai/Bobby did a similar thing last month. He waited a week to evaluate his coach and timed his presser for the firing. This could be for Dubas or Keefe or both.

Larry T wants championships. This is not good enough, I can definitely see him firing Shanny.

Most Dubas fans are Leaf fans so a large majority of the secretive Dubas fan club will remain with the Leafs.

The change will be swift. We saw it before with Burke. He had probably and even more annoying and vocal fan club. He was defended more than I've literally ever seen any human being defended. There was a poll here 2 weeks before he was fired that had 80% supporting a Burke extension.

When he was fired, 90% of the Burke Fan Club immediately jumped ship, pretended they were happy he was fired, and acted as though they never defended him in the first place.

9% of the Buke Fan Club maintained the ruse and claimed it was a mistake to fire him. That only lasted a week or two though. They pretty quickly transitioned into pretending/lying that they always hated Burke.

And then there was the 1%. This was a very special group. They maintained forever that Burke was good for the leafs and it was a mistake to fire him. A LOT of entertainment value was given by these individuals.

The same will happen with Dubas. 90% of the Dubas Defenders will turn on him right away. 9% will take some time to lie/pretend they never supported him. And there is 1% of the Dubas Defenders that I'm almost certain work for Dubas in some capacity. They will change their accounts and move to whatever board Dubas signs with.

They never said interviews and pressers start at 9am with a constant flow of player availability. They said their end of season day starts at 9am. Blame the media for not being clear about that. It's the same every year. None of the journalists there are saying it's weird or the delays are bad or whatever because it's literally the same every year. Show up at 9am, wait until players and management are ready to talk, which is usually a few hours later.

It blows my mind how so many people in here think there's a conspiracy or something going or that they are late as usual as if fans around here are owed something they never even said they would do. It's so weird.

I'm not advocating at all. Just reading the tea leaves. Him waiting a few days and letting Dubas go on his own is him flexing. Last year they were a block. Also, heard there's major friction between the two.

Crucially, Tanenbaum & Bell are on the same side of most major decisions. Rogers are on the opposite side, on their own.

So, if they want Shanahan fired / wholesale changes etc., they'll get what they want.

I believe the Rogers kids wanted Shanahan out in the past, but it was Tanenbaum + Bell that pushed to keep him in place recently. Not sure what that means now moving forward. Certainly feels like the goalposts have moved.
