Does this guy have any background at all in player personnel?
Thought he was just a Finance guy?
He was cap only when hired in 2014 but his current role as AGM involved the contract negotiations as well as CBA. I haven't found a more detailed description of all his duties but the Flames seems to think he has a wide enough range. Given that he, Shanny and KD have probably discussed in detail every aspect of the Big 3 this year I would think he is as safe as anyone to deal with that part of things. I think that part of it, is mostly Shanahan driven this year no matter who the GM is. In terms of trades I don't know what his level of involvement has been or who Kyle's main man for that area was. For this reason I don't know how much he can direct the show solo once the Big 3 are dealt with. To trade one of them, there are only going to be a few suitors who can step up with value so I see it as more taking the best package that meets Shanny's parameters. My point is that I don't see any disadvantage to having Pridham as interim GM for the next 6 weeks. I doubt he makes a Murray trade for instance.

Whether he is the guy long term depends on how much the organization respects his work and his initiative. You don't fire Kyle to get Kyle lite but I don't see him as that. Its up to him whether he can convince MLSE that he is or can be the roster builder they need.

Apparently Paul Beeston's son works for the Fenway group that owns the Pens and he's good friends with Dubas🤔

The plot thickens.
Here is the LinkedIn profile for Paul Beeston's son, David.

Just happend today and waiting for friday news dump
Ok, Is their any mention about a new coach. Babcock has interviewed with Columbus, but they have not hired him at this point. He has to ask his wife for permission of course. "
He said he and his wife had long discussed retiring at the age of 60, which is how old Babcock is now.

"If things change, I guess they change, but surely that's not our plan," Babcock said at the time. "Believe me, we've talked to lots of people about opportunities and enjoyed those conversations. In the end, we feel this is best for us and best for our family, so that's what we're doing."

Mike Babcock reportedly drawing interest from Blue Jackets, Rangers

That would push them to moving one of the core 4.

Take it for what it’s worth but a friend of mine who has mlse connections said they fired keefe today
Maybe Dubas wanted them to do that before he re-signs, so he did not have fire his friend.

Why else would you not wait until Dubas is in place or leaving?

I think its more that it seems as though he is favoring soo players instead of having a wider outlook, kind of like how he didnt even look at anyone else other than Keefe. I understand why he wanted Keefe but to not even consider anyone else regardless is a little narrow.

I believe there's many more if you count the AHL signings for the Marlies and Growlers.

The ex-Soo UFA he didn't sign last summer ended the Leafs' season and possibly Dubas' reign.

Yeah some have ties to SSM some directly played for Dubas others played for the Greyhounds but have had long careers. The staff though were direct from SSM.

If he didn't have the guts to do it, he wouldn't have been hired as a GM in the first place.
He hasn't shown any killer instinct though, so we don't really know. He's been hesitant to trade any of his buddies on the team or the coach thus far. Plus he just admitted to his billion dollar owners that maybe he needs a break as he cant handle the stress and pressure. As Pat Riley said, the leaders of an organization engrain their personality throughout. Not really a surprise there. Lol.
