Love this guy , he does alot of little things well , great on the forecheck and plays off his linemates , great spacing in the offensive zone at 5 on 5

I was always high on this guy as a future 3rd liner when you saw him in camp , I don't think his ceiling is super high but I love the energy he brings
Great energy. I like this guy.

Always better to wait the player to be 23 honestly. Heineman just turned 23 few weeks ago. Even 23 can still be risky. 24 usualy is where a player start to be as seen on TV.

I'd be very surprised if beck doesn't become at least as good as Plekanec.
It’s all about
Plekanec is underrated somehow by our fan base. He was a legit 1B for years and years. I don't think Beck has that upside but if he did our center woes would be solved.
’underrated’?!? He’s practically a folk hero on these boards lol.

I feel like I’m the only one who thinks he’s overrated

What a shot and he play the right way. Unless he regress massively he should be a lock for the third line for years to come imo.

I know lot of guys will try to rewrite history but important to note that many guys around here called him a bust before this year and said that the trade was lost. It will depend on Mesar which people already bust btw but this trade could end up being really good. Toffoli will hit a wall soon anyway. Mesar and Heineman for Toffoli looks like a potentially good trade.

i'll gladly admit i was wrong. i don't know why but i perceived him as injury prone, and he never stole the show in training camp.

for some reason i'm going to blame Ylonen for warping my perception of Heineman as some tweener who wouldn't be able to put it together

To be fair he had dealt with a worrying amount of injuries at the time.

Last year was supposed to be a big coming out party but he floundered.

I just get frustrated when people deny the obvious upside so completely.

Like there’s this desperate reflexive need to not be taken for a fool so some feel they have to call a young kid a bust without much of a fair trial at all.

It would be fine if it wasn’t so charged with vitriol and there could be more good faith discussion about it.

He's playing exactly like he did in his first training camp and I'm glad to see that he's that type of player. I'm don't think he'll crack the top 6 with Demidov coming up, but he's going to be a vital piece on our 3rd line.

Heinebro-Beck-???
We’ll see if Roy or Mesar can turn it around. Davidson is a candidate if he can work on the skating.

Heineman-Beck-Davidson all 3 possess wicked shots and really good motors.

Playmaking would a nice complement to that line. Davidson is sneaking in, but I think he can eventually become Evans' replacement.

One thing for sure, the forward group is starting to take shape and soon enough Kent will be able to identify the pieces he can move within our prospect pool for immediate help.

Think the habs still need to find their #1 D man and a 1B goalie.

I haven’t seen enough of Beck but many seem to think he’s an underrated playmaker.

Been pleasantly surprised by Heineman’s passing. Davidson makes smart passes but yeah a deserving Roy or Mesar would be pretty great.

It’s promising to have so many prospects that can fit in all through the lineup. Xhekaj and Tuch could probably be 3rd liners but would be relegated to the 4th just because of the numbers game.

The right side D is the biggest hole imo. Hopefully the injury doesn’t compromise Reinbacher. Mailloux needs a lot of work and may never get there. I’m really hoping Engstrom can play the right side. Pretty sure he played both sides in the SHL fluently.

Really is just a bigger lehkonen with a quicker release. Lehk never had a bad shot but he was always slow to get it off. Heinemen rips it as good as anyone I've seen.

He could really be one of those key depth guys on a contender. He could even turn into a top six guy but we'll see.

I'm a big fan of our bottom six right now minus dvo, though it's super overpaid. I don't see how you keep armia and Evans while still paying Gally and Anderson that much though.

Anyways glad to see heinemen panning out. Of the guys he came in with he had the most size so it's better he's working out than a guy like say Farrell who even at his best would not be a great bottom six option.

His wrist shot was clocked at 85 MPH on his goal last night. What was a routine save for Talbot caught him off guard with how lethal that shot was.

His shot reminds me of Patches so much. If he can keep up the aspects of his game that reminds me of pre-Chara hit Patches then he’s gonna be a helluva player.

His strength and speed impress me but what really sticks out is how hard he works and how smart he is on the ice.
People fail to remember that he only played 59 AHL games and scored 22 goals.

With the way Anderson is playing this year in the bottom six, I can see Barclay Goodrow type return and attraction at the deadline. Physical, fast and strong on the PK with points
