I was always high on this guy as a future 3rd liner when you saw him in camp , I don't think his ceiling is super high but I love the energy he brings

Always better to wait the player to be 23 honestly. Heineman just turned 23 few weeks ago. Even 23 can still be risky. 24 usualy is where a player start to be as seen on TV.


I'd be very surprised if beck doesn't become at least as good as Plekanec.

Plekanec is underrated somehow by our fan base. He was a legit 1B for years and years. I don't think Beck has that upside but if he did our center woes would be solved.

Funny, that’s what I thought of him as well. He reminds me of Lehkonen a little bit.

I know lot of guys will try to rewrite history but important to note that many guys around here called him a bust before this year and said that the trade was lost. It will depend on Mesar which people already bust btw but this trade could end up being really good. Toffoli will hit a wall soon anyway. Mesar and Heineman for Toffoli looks like a potentially good trade.
