I will 95% put this on the team not having any direction or plan for the future and JT Miller as being the major issues.
Is that purposefully dense?
He has personal ties (in two of the cases i'd consider them close) to three current members of the Canucks team.
There is a reason Russo has done like 3 profiles on Brock, including the extremely personal story about Brock and his dad's illness, and not someone from the Vancouver press corps.
There is a reason Yeo gave him an indepth interview, where he was very honest the summer after he was fired.
There is a reason Boudreau goes on his podcast or calls in when he's on the radio even years after the Wild let him go (as recently as September 2022 while coach of the canucks).
He has personal relationships with members of the Canucks organization. That's just simply a fact.
We’re talking about an RFA player who’s got 1 year left, 4-5 years younger, and will still be an RFA, not someone who’s already well into their prime and was an upcoming UFA.Did Johnny Gaudreau signal his intention to leave at any point last year?

But let’s say the rumours are “true”. Other than Tkachuk (sign and trade which is something I don’t see happening again for a loooooong time), show me another time a 24 year old, franchise player like Pettersson was traded simply because he thought the team sucks and wanted to win and was granted a trade because he said so?
I mean, if Petey hates losing then he probably does want out of Vancouver.Ah yes.
So let’s go with the insider from the States who has a gut feeling Petey wants out as credible.
Over a literal hour old direct source from Petey’s agent saying he hates losing (like everyone else!) and wants to play in Vancouver.
No, I'm sure he wants to stay on the Canucks while their front office continues to waste his prime years with boneheaded trades and signings.Ah yes.

So again, ties with MinnesotaIs that purposefully dense?

We've changed everything but facilities and ownership.vancouver is directionless. its past time to make some front office changes
Someone must be getting upset that it keeps getting put to speculationNo idea why the prefex keeps changing. Russo says it is his gut telling l him this. My gutt is telling me I should be getting a hummer from a super model sometime soon
Probably because it meets the definition of a rumour. The only people upset here are the ones doing mental gymnastics thinking Pettersson is happy playing for this dumpster fire organization.Someone must be getting upset that it keeps getting put to speculation
If after the completion of his deal and 6 nhl seasons with nothing to show for it team wise I would not blame any player for wanting out. That’s the reality of life.Probably because it meets the definition of a rumour. Well it is pure soeculationSomeone must be getting upset that it keeps getting put to speculation
It’s been mentioned multiple times that he hates losing and wants to play for a competitive team. Vancouver is not a competitive team, so it’s highly unlikely Pettersson signs any long-term deal here unless they quickly turn things around.didnt make Pettersson make some comments last year that he doesnt wanna take part in a rebuild something like that? I mean if thats the direction Vancouver is heading I'd try to score big time and deal him for as much as possible while he's hot.
100% speculation by definitionWell it is pure soeculation

Then you have a tenuous grasp of the English language.100% speculation by definition

"My gut says Elias is going to want to move on. That's just my gut. Gut and a little bit of knowledge."
"As Wild fans know, if I say something it's usually because I got a...like...I don't just throw stuff out there. It's never been my style. I just think that with Pettersson, there's some behind the scenes stuff there that would probably want to make him go elsewhere."

I get it, you’re either a Russo fanboy or Russo himself.Russo definitely is one of them, he has broken numerous trades both Wild and other teams over the years. He has also expanded his focus over the past two years and especially this year to be more national coverage, they brought in Joe Smith to cover the Wild while Russo widens his focus. Having said that, the things he puts in print tend to be far more reliable than his verbal content, his podcasts are a lot more speculative.
Russo definitely does have connections around the league and in Vancouver, so him having insider knowledge really isn’t absurd, he has a pretty good reputation and generally doesn’t throw out rumors that don’t have some kind of legs behind them.
So you don’t understand what the definition of a rumour is, got it.Wants out = rumour
Is going to want out = speculation
