Reading this thread ia brutal.
If onlt EP had some personal issues so you would be forced not speculate the integrity of his character.
I think it just speaks to the fact that people don't want to accept how mental health is on a spectrum.
Say you're having sleeping problems. You're not going to be as effective right? You probably still show up for work, but you aren't going to be on the ball. You might make some mistakes. Now, it's not a full blown mental health crisis, but it still deserves understanding and compassion.
What bothers me about Miller is that he was going through something himself, but instead of having compassion for someone who was also struggling in their own way, he lashed out at him. If I was Pettersson, I probably won't want to be teammates with Miller anymore unless he makes an attempt to make amends.
And frankly, Tocchet handled the whole situation horribly. The idea that Miller would be tasked with "toughening up" Pettersson is crazy. And now that Miller is back, he's getting the prime icetime and the fans are back on Pettersson's case.
The situation is untenable. All they had to do was have Pettersson's back and give him the space to sort out his game, but they did the opposite, and continue to do that.
