He's done some good things but it still amazes me how he scored 42 goals in '22. Marchand hasn't even ever hit 40. I'd be happy with seeing at least some small part of that. Probably not.

He was brought in as a number one because they needed two front line centers. I would argue he’s a second line center. They still need another impact center. Once that happens, they all will settle into their right spot. It will help Lindholm and Coyle.

You can't pay a first line center with Lindholm and Coyle making so much.

They don't become available often either. Lindholm was the closest thing in recent memory to one being a UFA.

Should have been trying to accumulate scoring wingers. Since drafting Pasternak and DeBrusk havent drafted anyone really. Trades have been sky high prices Nash Bertuzzi etc.

I hope he is just battling through a nagging injury and gets right. *If* Poitras fulfills his potential (and no reason to think he can't), then Potsy-Lindholm-Coyle down the middle can be just fine as a center group. A team does not have to have an elite 1C to be very successful. The trick will be to have wings that can put the puck in the net consistently. Bruins are a bit short on that right now.

Like, some guys get paid their guaranteed money and just dog it after. But I don't see that from Lindholm, he's just not a good fit with the linemates he has and this system and also not as good as we thought.

Making like $8 million for a 34 point place is absolutely embarrassing and might go down as one of the worst free agent signings in NHL history.

One thing I noticed today when checking his stats is his career shooting percentage is 12%.

Right now it’s 7.5%

You hope that it starts trending towards his career average at some point.

I was in favor of the signing and I like the player. I always have, but it’s been a dreadful start for him. I’m hoping it turns around, but with the way things are going for this group, just feels like the whole team is having a down year.

I want Zacha at centre. Wing is a waste of his talents.

Nice game
It was a good game. He made two really nice passes for chances... and that's probably the first time this year he made notable offensive passes that connected.

Maybe he was just "up" a bit extra for the Vancouver game, but that should carry over to the Calgary game, and maybe two in a row will get him going.

Did he get two assists last night or one?

Does this guy need special circumstances to motivate him? Honestly I noticed the day he was named to Team Sweden, that night against Chicago, his first shift he had a burst of speed on the forecheck I hadn't seen from him this year or since...lol.
