You want to tell me where you're pulling your stats from? Last 10, Coyle as 4G 1A
while Lindholm has 1G 3A. Coyle has points in 4 of the 10.
Just miscounted back and the didn't see the pit game at the end of November.

Still don't see him as the solution there right now as he's not taking any faceoffs and isn't setting folks up either. Maybe they have Kastellic taking those draws because he's better, but I think he's working through something. I mean he just got his 2nd assist and they're playing game 30 tonight.

Besides the team is on their longest winning streak of the year, shuffling lines would be the Montgomery method.

Marchand and Lindholm been good together

Marchand likes playing with him

Points aren’t there but he’s always in right place and making good decisions

Hmm. Closing in on the halfway point of the season and I am getting concerned that this will turn out to be a really poor signing much sooner than it should. I thought the final 2-3 seasons might be a little rough, but I didn't expect it already. There is still time to turn it around for him, obviously, but to not even live up to his previously worst years statistically this early into a seven year deal is troubling.

Marchand and Brazeau have been good together. Lindholm has been a net negative.

Good defense is not enough, he has to improve.
This guy looks happy to be just collecting his paycheck. What a bust. Guy has zero interest in going to the net.

He defense is grossly overrated as well.

Garbage signing, Maybe its time to get a pro scouting staff that goes to games and not just watch the NHL network for its highlights.

Not worried yet points will come.

I noticed you didn't book it, so maybe it will actually happen . I never thought he would be the second coming of Bergy, but I did think he would be a solid 60 point two way center. Right now he is playing like a third line C that you pay $3.5m on a three year deal. The contract is looking scary.

He’s looking like Coyle-lite right now. That’s not a good thing.
Hopefully he just needs a long time to adjust, but if he doesn’t… yikes

Overall he has been sound defensively, and he has won key faceoffs. However, he was brought here to produce like a #1C, not be a defensive specialist. Riley Nash was able to produce with Marchand and Pastrnak on his wings which is extremely alarming how Lindholm hasn't or can't with either one of those guys on his line.

The Bruins needed help down the middle and on faceoffs, but he isn't bringing much else to the table. This signing is looking more like David Backes 2.0.

I can't tell if he's flubbing his bumper one timers because he's just not ready to receive the pass or if he's trying too hard because he's feeling the heat of the lack of production. But he is not looking confident with the puck right now. He's deferring every chance he gets and when he does have a chance to shoot it, the puck rolls of his stick or it gets blocked.

He just doesn’t look sharp mentally to me. Marchand had a great rush in the game last night where he carried it wide and looked like he was gonna try to take it to the net, but then slipped a soft little backhand pass to Lindholm but he wasn’t ready and misfired. He missed the one time on the power-play. This happens every game and it’s not just the shot attempts. It’s possession plays, where he’s given a short pass in traffic and he’s not ready and it goes through him or off his stick.

I know Coyle isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire either but I really feel like Lindholm needs to be demoted. I think he needs some tough love.

Quickly losing patience with this one. Does little things well but for almost 8 a year you need to produce. Contract is looking brutal right now.

he made a name for himself centering Gaudreau and Tkachuk and moron Donny fell for it. He’s a third line center. Paying him that salary would be like taking McDavids junior linemates with the 2nd overall pick based on assists.

Well funny that you say that seeing as McDavid's Junior Winger was Alex DeBrincat who is 3rd in goals, 6th in assists and 3rd in points out of his draft. So McDavid had nothing o complain about...lol.

I don't think anybody thought he was going to be that guy. There was a pre-season points thread and almost nobody had him getting 80 points like he did with Gaudreau and Tkachuk.

60 points though? That seemed reasonable. He did that without star wingers. If he put up 60 points here and provided strong two-way play I think we'd all feel fine about the contract. Unfortunately, we're 30 games into the season and he's only on pace for about half of that.

The stats guy "JFresh" warned that Lindholm is not a puck carrier. He's supposed to be good at collecting the puck in prime positions and finishing, at least when on his game.

Sadly, Zacha and even Coyle have shown more offensive skill than Lindholm has so far this season. Coyle has scored 2 or 3 beauties lately...when this season has Lindholm wowed us with his hands or playmaking?

Watched him with VAN during last playoffs and he was their best 2 way forward generating a lot of chances

Yeah watched him in PO and thought he gave them worst case, three #2C.
He is barely playing at an acceptable 3C level, but is paid like at least a high end 2C.

You have to hope he is dealing with a lingering injury or that contract looks grim.

I think he s working his ass really hard, he s tenacious, really good defensively and at the dot and his shooting % is very low compare to his standard, but now the contract looks really scary

Any chance they would want him back?

Sounds like you think he should be on the 4th line, the way describe him.
