Bland, boring, lacks excitement.I'm struggling to guess what you mean in saying McDavid has an attitude of plain white rice.

he said he wanted to win
He'll stay like Drai. Unlike Flames stars, the Edmonton stars actually likes the fanbase they play in front of.
I love how this is an "Elephant in the room" topic, like it must be talked about and no one wants to say anything.
As if Jealous haters haven't talked about and day dreamed about McDavid leaving since Day 1.
3 MAX Term extensions later (1 by McDavid, 2 by McDavid's best buddy Drai) and a Hall of Fame career in Edmonton where he's shown nothing but wanting to keep playing for this franchise, and apparently the day dream's still not dead.
I don't agree with your assessment. But either way boring people leave for greener pastures all the time.Bland, boring, lacks excitement.
10+ years of watching him play, grow, and talk about his time in the Oilers market. All jokes aside, what makes you think he’ll stay? His best friend Leon? An 8th year?
Let’s be honest, he’d have a hall of fame career on every single of the other 31 franchises in the NHL.
This stuff about him wanting to stay with his best bud Leon is weird to me. I mean, I get the thought process, but it doesn’t make sense for a GOAT level player like McDavid to hinge his legacy on wanting to keep playing with his “best friend”.
McDavid is from Toronto and bleeds Blue. No chance he signs with the Rags imo.Prepare to be surprised. How are the Leafs going to afford him when they have Matthews, Marner and Nylander already tied up around 40M bucks?
If McDavid was to hit the UFA, the Rangers would be all in.
He won’t go there but Marner is a pending ufa himself . I think he re ups in Edmonton but failing that I could see Vegas , Florida , Tampa or the Rangers getting himPrepare to be surprised. Leafs are going to re-sign Marner. That's pretty much a given at this point.McDavid is from Toronto and bleeds Blue. No chance he signs with the Rags imo.
Tavares $11m is coming off the books this year. They haven't re-signed Marner, so there is another $11m there as well. The cap is set to go up $4.5m next year, and probably another $4m-$5m again in 2026.
He's boring and doesn't do anything remotely outside of the box.I'm struggling to guess what you mean in saying McDavid has an attitude of plain white rice.
McDavid won't be signing in Toronto simply for the money. He took less to play in EDM to win. Don't see him joining the Rags, just because they put together the largest bid.Leafs are going to re-sign Marner. That's pretty much a given at this point.
I can see McDavid playing for Toronto at some point of his career, but not when he's up in two years. If he doesn't re-sign with Edmonton (which is still 95% the likeliest scenario), I think NYR is probably the highest bidder, at least with what we know now. Some people are saying Vegas or Florida, are these teams getting rid of Eichel and Barkov? Same goes for Toronto, is Matthews going to be gone in two years? With NYR, there is absolutely an open vacancy for a #1C.
LA could be something interesting as well, though I don't know about their cap situation. Following the footsteps of Gretzky, lol.
Yeah, a whopping 0.5M from the max contract that could've been offered by the CBA.McDavid won't be signing in Toronto simply for the money. He took less to play in EDM to win. Don't see him joining the Rags, just because they put together the largest bid.
