He is the biggest dman on the team right now. Crease clearing specialties. PK. Physical. I don't know if his game has 'fallen off' but he was excellent for Montreal in playoffs vs us I remember him well.

The players that can move the needle are already here. They are: Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares. Edmundson just adds more depth.

Edmundson had been pretty good with stl and mtl. He made petry looking like a elite D by protecting every mistake and turnover petry was doing again and again. Petry played their best season with him. He played on top pair with pietrangelo when they won the cup and had a pretty good impact

Its a pretty good trade for leafs. A lot of fans wanted schen back but Edmundson> Schenn but hes LHD
