Eh I don’t mind it, but for people who are underwhelmed, the missing ingredients have been these kind of unglamorous role players. So this is what it’s supposed to look like.

In terms of asset management, bleeding out picks is maybe not ideal. But we just need to start keeping some of these guys so we don’t have to solve the same problems over and over with more and more picks.

Nice. Cheap add and definitely building a playoff type defence, especially having to get through Boston and Florida. Hopefully that signals Brodie's ice time dropping.

If we can add another forward that is good defensively and a big body, this should be the best playoff result we've had in a long time.

Only wrinkle in the plan will be if the refs suddenly deem cross checking and slashing penalties in the playoffs. We've seen other teams do this for years. Will the Leafs be allowed to do it?
