Eh I don’t mind it, but for people who are underwhelmed, the missing ingredients have been these kind of unglamorous role players. So this is what it’s supposed to look like.

Nice. Cheap add and definitely building a playoff type defence, especially having to get through Boston and Florida. Hopefully that signals Brodie's ice time dropping.
If we can add another forward that is good defensively and a big body, this should be the best playoff result we've had in a long time.
Only wrinkle in the plan will be if the refs suddenly deem cross checking and slashing penalties in the playoffs. We've seen other teams do this for years. Will the Leafs be allowed to do it?

I really like physical d-men that play the rough kinda game, and that's exactly who Toronto should be targeting. But at the same time, how many bottom pairing d-men does this team need?
