Edmundson is just a bigger, more experienced Benoit. If anything this gives us depth. I feel more comfortable pairing Liljergren with Edmundson in the playoffs than I would with Benoit. Benoit will certainly be a part of our team moving forward and I'm sure we'll see him in the playoffs at some point.

Benoit is a better skater, more physical.

Good job! Most of my family (on one side) speaks 2-3 languages but my dumbass only knows one lol. French was my first language but I moved to a part of the country where almost no-one speaks it so I learned english and lost it.

Great….
“You just remember that he made it miserable to get to the net. You remember watching the video back, thinking there could be five or six minor penalties called on each shift,” Keefe told reporters Monday, following Edmundson’s first practice in Blue and White. “But that’s playoff hockey.“

That’s a guaranteed Parros meeting if he cross checks someone in the head again as a Leaf. F sake Keefe

Im hoping Edmundson took it easy because it was his former team the habs, because I didn't see much of that physicality we were promised

Hopefully he brings it against the flyers

Lets not give Brad excuses now. He should learn to not miss on FA signings. Also he has Cowen, 1st, Minten, Lilly, Niemela to trade. More than enough. Whether he spends it on wrong players is the question. Brad can only blame himself. Dubas didn't cause Brad to have a weak off season.
Other than Klingberg I'm very happy with the off season and Tre's TDL.

Bertuzzi and Domi the last 10 games have been great
Benoit has been great
Reeves since his injury has been really good.
Sammy since his melt down has been great

Klingberg wasn't a good signing We needed a RD ther wasn't a lot of options

Kampf.600 thousand but again there were not alot of centers on the market

Also now he knows what is in the system

Other than Klingberg I'm very happy with the off season and Tre's TDL.
Aside from Benoit, it was pretty bleak in the first half.
I understood the rationale behind Klingberg, made sense….but there was already Lili and Timmins on the right side so that was much more of a headscratcher then and now.
Especially with some good two way fits signing for term for less on other teams.Who knows if he tried, maybe he did.
The second half is looking much better. Domi and Bert could be impact players in the playoffs if they keep playing with piss and vinegar like they did against Boston

Bert and Reaves are debatable.

They've been playing great, but they were clear Ls in the first half.

Edmundson is too early to call I think.

Dewar is early but at worst a meh. RFA as well if I'm not mistaken.

In the second half of the season it looks
much better , I agree with you. Which is what I said 😋
And I didn’t comment in Reaves who’s had a pretty negligible impact, but he’s pretty buriable, so no biggie.
I did omit the heater that Jones went on earlier on in the year. It was pretty important, so props to him - good add.

Edmundson is the perfect guy for Benoit to take notes from. Lock Benny up this year as he's cheap, and we have our own young Edmundson for years.

Thought he looked great last night, and the game prior. Steady, simple, effective, poised. Yes please.
I think last night was probably his best game. Solid defensively and used his body to his advantage. Still not as aggressive as I thought he’d be given his reputation in the media but overall a solid player Benoit can learn from during this stretch.

Think we see that toughness in the playoffs.

Both Ed and Boosh have been solid additions. Even moreso once playoffs begin.

I find Boosh is more an agent of chaos though, and also takes way more punishment out there than he should. That guy gets run so much.
ed and boosh blocking shots and clearing the crease like vintage hal gil and luke schenn o boy

Will Benoit want to even sign here if he keeps getting scratched
