Our media doesn’t know how to keep their mouths shut, to our detriment. Kadri and Bunting drew calls like nobodies business and as soon as it became a story that dried up. Now they can’t shut up about Edmundson and his cross-checking. You think the refs won’t be specifically looking for that now? Christ’s sake.

Yeah the problem is that it's not just the meida. Even the dipshit announcer is calling for Matthews' suspension when he cross checked Dahlin.

You have to be super biased against the Leafs to convince everybody that you're not biased in favor of the Leafs.

We have options to play him right and left. I say try him on the right first.

Rielly-Lyubushkin
Brodie-McCabe
Benoit-Edmundson

Big, bruising defence. Forwards will have to help a lot as moving the puck up the ice won't necessarily be a strong point.

That's the long and short of it, if you think Lijegren is helping the team in any way right now you straight up aren't watching the games and what he's doing out there.

Brodie and him are the worst defenders on the team.

You can get 3rds and 5ths whenever you want in this league. Its not hard to recoup those if needed

Both Boosh and him can be more than just a rental and I do believe both will be around next season as long as they don’t suck.
Even if both sign for 3 mil, that’s just one more mil than TJ this season. And I doubt they sign for 3mil each as Soucy signed for 3mil last summer and he is better than both of them.

Because we don’t have the cap space or assets. How many even strength goals did Rielly and Schenn give up in the playoffs last year? Sometimes you just need the right type of partner to elevate your game.

To make a cup run we’re gonna need Timmy at his best and he won’t find his game by being scratched.

They won't be scoring much but damn, in rounds 2 and onwards when the bruises are starting to pile up, players will be thinking twice about crashing our net. It's going to become a premium play. You have to accept you are going to take some pain even if you win the retrieval and get your stick on the puck.

We might see the same patterns of the opponents skill guys staying on the outside, not willing to take it to the net.

Pretty sure he is still injured. I agree with giving him a few games off but we need him back in time to find a playoff groove. Like it or not we are going to need him in top form.
 
Relax. This team never had any chance at a cup. They aren't that good. Now enjoy the ride, hopefully we win two. We got some depth, this guy helps but yeah he will get extra PM's because he is a leaf and the media you watch screws you. Look on the bright side. Dubas screwed the build in 2016 and anyone could win one round but every pathetic, garbage trade was the brainchild of a leaf media moron who hate the Leafs. Courtnall, Rask, Couture,Steen,Kessel, Verhaege,Niedermayer, Kadri etc. All brainchild of the Leaf media? Always opionated but conveniently wrong . More like Inspecteur Clouseau.

liljegren skillset is great but hockey IQ is pretty trash. So when he play in easy situation to help him he will look good because of his skillset. When your raising his responsabilities and put him in harder siruation ( dont talk about short term like 4-5 games), he will struggling because hes unable to understand whats happenning in front of him...

after people like you gonna come and say think like Keefe broken his confidence and he suck because he lost his confidence or whatever... but in reality whats we saw is his lack of hockey IQ and thats exactly whats keefe and coaching staff seeing and why when its really matter, hes healthy scratch. game 72 or playoff 1, keefe cant protect him anymore from himself.

so thats why leafs had to trade for guy like boosh, edmundson, schenn, mccabe, gio, because they cant trust liljegren hockey IQ
