Honestly, with all the other moves around the league yesterday, I really couldn't care less what this team did at the DL. I think I would rather have stood pat.

Unless a long term RD is coming in, I wouldn't have bothered wasting picks this year. Come playoffs if rosters hold as they are now, high chance we're overmatched before getting out of the east.

For people complaining about Brad picking up scraps, go read Kyper's (yes, I know) article in the Star today. Doesn't pull any punches on how the wonderboy screwed the organization for years by wasting assets in previous years. What assets do the Leafs have left to trade? We all see this so why all the complaining?

Usually bigger is, but Brodie is beyond slow and a guy like Benoit is surprisingly fine foot speed wise, ditto Boosh for that matter. McCabe is fine as well, actually has good spurt speed.

Funny to see how Treliving pivoted from blowing all that cash on Klingberg to getting all the tall guys. We'll see how that works out what with the history of Leafs D (save Rielly) being unable to transition the puck in the playoffs and all of the offense drying up.

It would be a WWE level plot twist of Klingberg came back on the RHD role in the playoffs.

Brodie was 30 when he got here so not really that crazy. Same with Muzzin. You only have a few good years left at that point

Doesn't address Top4 D-man problem; and realistically we can't fix that until Tavares is off the cap (and then we will have a 2/3 C hole) or Liljegren develops to take that

I mean Leafs aren't going to compete in post season. I am as big a Leafs homer as the next guy but we gotta see more out of Matthews, Marner and Nylander in the post season before we keep throwing away assets at the TDL. I haven't seen three amigos take their game to the next level in playoffs. On the contrary they get shut down quite often.

I really loved him. Remember how he'd break up every 2 on 1. Smart player, but it just isn't there consistently anymore. On his strong side I guess he's still serviceable but that seemed fleeting too.
