He's made more good moves than bad but the fans keep wanting him fired lol
Oh? Gave away John Marino for almost nothing. Got Mike Green who, uh, played 2 games. Gave up premium price for Athanasiou who did, uh... ? 2 points I guess. Traded for Kulikov for... 2 points, I guess. Traded for Duncan Keith? Whoa...

For Kulak gave the pick with which Habs picked Lane Hutson, who's looking pretty good... Traded for Brassard who... ? The trade for Ekholm was good, true.

Traded first, conditional 4th, conditional 4th for Carrick and Henrique. Traded fourth for Stecher. Then the Nurse signing...

Dunno, I only see one obviously good move with the Ekholm trade. A couple others might be lateral, and the rest are losses to me.

My favourite post in the series thread was that dude on the first page with the kid McDavid avy saying “I’m struggling to give the Oilers one game, stars in 4”

Great prediction 😂

Easy the best game of the series by Dallas. Controlled the play for over 40 minutes. Edmonton sat on that lead no doubt
But surprisingly kept the high danger chances to a minimum stilll
Very similar to LA at the end of their series. They finally put together a full 60 and really wanted to get back in the series.

But it was Knob Defence and Stu that held the Fort when those teams pushed.

Every fanbase has those moments. 2003 for Canucks fans, I'm sure 2006 & Roloson going down G1 for Oilers fans, and last year aswell as you say.

West was pretty open this year so it might be another one for us, but full credit to EDM they've earned the trip to the final. When 2 of 3 opponents can't score a PP goal against you in the series.... that's pretty remarkable, then you add the GOAT powerplay.

Really interested to see how this final plays out, I have no idea what to expect. FLA will be their toughest test but Oilers have responded anytime they've been doubted these playoffs.
What Florida is a Hella scary team. I'd call them the favs but I think the Oilers can steal it. Either way I expect 6 or 7 games.

Only team to go 7 with them, so it gives you hope that maybe the Canucks are close and will take things further next year with hopefully a healthy line-up.
Hey, the Canucks were a good team this year. They worked harder than any lineup I've see in these playoffs and they had a decent amount of skill in their line up. I think the Canucks woke the Oilers up who played ok, but not at their best the first 5 games of the series despite probably being the better team in 3 of the 5 games. Once the Oilers awoke though they controlled the final 2 games and carried it into the Dallas series. I give the Canucks a lot more credit than I did much of the season they were a hard match up. I don't think their roster gets better next season though with all the UFAs on their depth players, but they should be a solid competitor the next 5 years.

I’m rooting for the oilers but it’s hard to see it as they haven’t earned some bad karma for this performance. It’s at least up there with an all time worst performance if the sog are anything to go off of with 17 being the 2nd worst record to clinch.

Congrats oilers fans hope they get it done
Many saw Oilers not getting last LA and their trap, then they didn't see the go past Vancouver ... and then no one saw them getting past Dallas..

It's ok... next series is a brand new sheet..
Oilers will be fine as long as that team also has ex-Flames

After you get eliminated it's always "fun" to look back at key moments.

Game 1 - Robertson hits the post in OT twice on the PP. Makes you wonder, if one of those goes in, does the Stars PP snap out of their funk? That was the best looking powerplay they had all series

Game 3 - Oilers blow 2 goal lead. Stars top end talent makes their only impact on this series

Game 4 - Stars quickly blow 2 goal lead that if held onto wouldve put them up 3-1 in the series. Game tied 2-2 late in the 2nd, Stars get a powerplay and give up a shorthanded goal, which would stand as the game-winner.

Game 5 - Stars generate nothing on Skinner, who looked a little shaky out there. Edmonton cashes in on their powerplays, Dallas doesn't. Oilers dominate

Game 6 - Stars dominate and generate a ton, but Skinner is on his game. Edmonton cashes in on their powerplays, and Dallas doesn't.

Too many passengers on this Dallas team in this series.

Gazdic brought up a good point, Dallas looked right outta gas.

I do wonder what we'd be looking at if Edmonton had to go through Vegas and Colorado instead of LA and Vancouver

I think it has to do more with having some older forwards, and only 5 NHL calibre dmen (one of whom was literally in a walking boot). The 5 players with the most minutes played so far in the postseason includes Dallas’ entire top 4, and Bouchard. Their lack of depth hurt them badly

Yea I mean they have the deepest top 9 in the league so that helped them. But that defence was yikes. I remember thinking at the trade deadline that they needed another 1-2 D even after Tanev.

That Lunkvist trade looks stupider and stupider. Rare miss from Nill

Yeah but the young guys are nuts. Giving me bruins vibes, always gonna be good, competetive and well managed. Will they break through is the only question

That Seguin miss with a lot of the net wide open to make it 3-0 is pretty massive in retrospect.

Dallas powerplay going completely cold is the story of the series, imo.
Was it? Or was it the Oilers PK being absolutely elite?

Just like Janmark having the puck roll off his stick when he had a good foot of net to tuck it in tonight. What ifs are just a waste of time to think about. Players never execute 100% of the time.

I think a lot of sports is talking about what ifs though.
