I love Looch. But 7 years for him is insane. His style of play is going to lead to a serious drop in production in 2-3 years.

Actually they did care. No one touched Toffoli when Lucic was on his line. Once Lucic got moved away from Toffoli in the playoffs, San Jose went to town on Toffoli.

Lucic was a no show in the playoffs like the rest of his teammates.

By having Klefbom and Larsson signed at 8.3M combined and Eberle and Nuge likely off the books by then? The cap will likely be up at least another 5M by then (in 3 to 4 years) if not more.

I almost feel like the long negotiation period drives up the price. The numbers reported at the beginning were much lower. Then each day he considers other teams and demands an extra year or half a million.
