Yup ate that one pretty quickly lol.Psych!
Something's still gotta give though, almost 3 million over before Broberg and Holloway get done

I mean, it's a cheap-ish deal, so you can't really argue with the value for a guy who's going to get 25 goals like clockwork.
But if the plan is to run him next to Draisaitl...it might not go well. Skinner is one of the worst defensive forwards in the league, and Drai can't drive two-way results on his own. I legitimately expect a Skinner-Draisaitl line to get outscored at 5v5.
Rumour has Kane getting LTIR'ed.Yup ate that one pretty quickly lol.

Where is this coming from? I haven't really read this anywhere other than on these boards.Rumour has Kane getting LTIR'ed.
Think you can either through Nuge or Henrique with those two and it'll ease the pain.I mean, it's a cheap-ish deal, so you can't really argue with the value for a guy who's going to get 25 goals like clockwork.

He’ll be the 3rd best forward on his line in Edmonton which should take all the pressure off him.If he doesn’t try to touch the puck much and just let Connor or Leon set him up he should be fine
ya your right, the Oilers shouldn't try to upgrade their team because a career piss baby might pout and kick rocks in the parking lot all year.Upgrade from Kane? I can't see Kane being happy playing on the third line for an entire year.
Jeff Jackson mentioned a hip issue in his interview yesterday that the Oilers and Kane are still consulting specialists about. If it's likely to require surgery, the recovery time for hip surgery can be 6+ months.Where is this coming from? I haven't really read this anywhere other than on these boards.
I mean he obviously had some injuries so it wouldn't be far fetched, but I am curious
but then then the Oilers won 3 straight, so by that logic the Panthers were "almost swept" right? Not much of a narrative when the series was 3-0. That’s “almost swept”
That’s all he really needs. It’s when he starts handling the puck/carrying it/decision making with it (unless it’s like a shot in tight). But he’ll be fine if he plays with McDavid lolHe’ll be the 3rd best forward on his line in Edmonton which should take all the pressure off him.
It’s likely he plays with McDavid and Hyman so he will have more time and space than he’s ever had in his career
Yeah. That 8-1 win was a real nail biter. Not much of a narrative when the series was 3-0. That’s “almost swept”
Do we think Holloway deserves some top six/top nine reps after a pretty impactful playoffs? If Janmark re-signs
Skinner - McDavid - Hyman
Kane - Draisaitl - Arvidsson
Janmark - RNH - Brown
Holloway - McLeod - Perry
Ryan
Then we can add Arvidsson to the line who's excellent 5-on-5.I mean, it's a cheap-ish deal, so you can't really argue with the value for a guy who's going to get 25 goals like clockwork.

Yup.You may be forgetting that Drai was a big + carrying around stalwarts like Dominik Kahun Kailer Yamamoto. Skinner was a +15 the year before this, only a -2 this year on a team with a lot of big minuses. I dunno, seems like Skinner may be better than a lot of the guys Drai has trucked around over his career.
Skinner can’t drive offense?? Are you serious??Yup.
And Draisaitl's been stuck with Kane for the last couple years as well. If Skinner is the worst defensive forward in the league, Kane ain't far behind - and Skinner can at least still drive offense.
with Kane likely out longterm, Holloway is our most physical forward by a mile.Do we think Holloway deserves some top six/top nine reps after a pretty impactful playoffs?

Another guy who posts analytics without actually watching the games lol. Yeah what do I know I’ve only seen every sabres game that skinner played inView attachment 891353
His underlying numbers are excellent.
