"
Despite being given opportunities on the Hurricanes' top powerplay unit and top line, Puljujarvi has failed to produce the kind of offensive numbers expected of him, or any at all, leaving fans and analysts alike disappointed.

With zero points in 6 games with the Hurricanes, Puljujarvi has been the subject of criticism from Hurricanes fans, who are growing increasingly frustrated with his lack of production"

This isn't necessarily a bad thing for JP.

Not all players get it on their drafted team and want to be moved. Then once moved they realize they need to do more to stay in the NHL. Might be that time for him to reinvent himself with the tools he does have that work in the NHL.

I always revert to the Ethan Moreau trade where we got him Cleary and Kilger. All 1st rounders that were dominate offensive players in junior, but had to make adjustments to stay in the NHL.

Time will tell where it'll go from here, but it's quite early in Carolina and to correct the article he hasn't got much PP time (which I don't complain about especially when I don't know much about their PP). It wasn't early in the Oilers, I mean it was definitely time to let go, but I didn't expect him to start producing immediately in Carolina after such a horribly quiet year. However, if it continues like this it's even possible he'll be in Europe next year. His better times means some NHL teams will offer him a contract, but he may feel he needs more time in Europe to work on some areas of his game or something.

I absolutely wish all the best for JP.

You are also correct. I doubt he was ever going to amount to much here.

I hope this is good for Jim but it was past time to move on and getting the 3mill off our books was value added.

You did more than that in the Canes forum. My post was among many to which you stamped a lauhging emoji. Not that I should make a huge deal about it, but still.

What I've never understood about you is your endless need to state Yamamoto is better than Puljujarvi. You may try to disguise it with what you wrote, but the thing is you got annoyed at anyone thinking Puljujarvi is better when you IMO should've just let it go.

Also what you said about you being right isn't a fact, it's just your opinion. I mean do you really think Yamamoto scoring 10+10 while playing with McDavid and Drai through the whole season somehow proves you right? Him and JP have sucked through the season. The big picture is neither deserves to be put above anyone this or last season, that's how sas it's been with those two.

Holy f*** Whyme? You're actually using laughing emojis as a crime lol?

I'm not disguising anything. You can keep creating this garbage conspiracy theory if you'd like but I've said the truth from my end. No it doesn't prove me right about Yam being good while getting 10 + 10 with McDavid and Leon. But it's better than what JP did with them which is all I was arguing about.

All I've tried to prove is Yam is better than JP. That's all. He's not better than any of our other top six wingers.

I don't know where you get the notion I am putting Yam above anyone else EXCEPT Jessie. It just seems like you're trying to find something to get at me but you can't find it lol.

Its a sickness. I wouldnt bother.

It’s chronic whataboutism with a majority of JP fans. Attack another player to deflect attention off JP. Like makes zero sense.

All you're proving is it bothers you anytime someone says something about Puljujarvi that isn't insanely negative.

As we can see it bothers you enough for you to head over to the canes forum before they told you to get lost.

What bothers me is how ridiculous it is LOL

to correct the article he hasn't got much PP time (which I don't complain about especially when I don't know much about their PP).
Carolina’s PP is ranked pretty much right in the middle. But I’m not sure what you expect when you say that JP ‘hasn’t got much PP time’. His lack of opportunity on the PP in Edmonton was a constant refrain in many of your posts, so I would think you would notice that for a new guy on the team, he has been given quite reasonable PP chances in Carolina.

Among forwards .. over the six games … Aho, Teravainen, Necas and Noesen have more than double the minutes. Naturally. JP is in the next group with similar minutes to Jarvis and Kotkaniemi. The next group is Drury and Stastny who are in and out of the lineup.

Thanks for your post, but your message is a prime example of misreading a fellow poster's message. I want to believe in your case it was accidental. This is what I wrote:

I guess you now agree I wasn't complaining about his low PP usage, in fact I specifically mentioned I wasn't complaining about it. Like I clearly wrote I don't know their team's PP structure well enough. I expect them to have valid reasons to play whoever they play. From now on I'd appreciate the quoted posts are read a bit more carefully and thus not used as an excuse to bring in my older views and thoughts as it's a different situation.

Yes. You and bobby going through bunch of old messages putting laughing emojis to several messages is trolling from the two of you and you know that. Or are you saying you wouldn't mind if I started to pick your messages and put systematically laughing emojis to them? Nobody here would or should care? Maybe you want to try that with some most respected posters or posters that have felt strongly against JP? Yes, I didn't think you would.

By the way, was the post I quoted from Kaptah the one you meant when you claimed he had said JP is one goal away from being a top line player? If so you should be extremely embarassed as you twisted words like not seen before and got caught. I hope you're strong enough to admit and apologize. Or kindly show me a post I missed if that's the case.

You and a couple of others keep claiming this while this once again started by McYams writing in the Carolina section and how he said it's been proved Yamamoto is better than Puljujarvi and how he claimed ( I think in two separate messages) Kaptah had said things he obviously hadn't. Only you and a couple of others have such anger towards JP and who you see as his supporters that you don't see what the case was. All you see is some red mist and it really is a shame because we all are just fellow human beings with different views. It's not like we should have a war against each other or anything. As a Finn I'm constantly reminded there is so much more serious things going on in the world, could be here in Finland too right now.

Uhhh .. not exactly. I read your posts carefully and replied to the part that I wanted to reply to. You can’t dictate which portions of your comments other posters choose to respond to. You would agree with that, right?

You did mention that you weren’t complaining about his PP time in Carolina. That’s very nice. But then you also went ahead and stated that you wanted to ‘correct the article’ and go on record as saying that JP ‘hasn’t got much PP time’. That’s the part of your post that I wanted to address. For two reasons. 1) you frequently referenced JP’s lack of PP chances in Edmonton. It was one of your favorite excuses for his lack of production. 2) I disagree with your assessment that JP ’hasn't got much PP time’ in Carolina. That was the meat of my reply to you. He is getting about half as much PP time as the four big guns in Carolina through the first six games. That’s a lot for a guy who just joined the team and has no track record of being an NHL power play performer.

I was just trying to point out that you must be happy to see him getting some PP chances, and I was surprised to see you deny that. That’s it.

Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh to you, I didn't mean to. I still think my thoughts about what happened in the Oilers could be left out of this.

I did make the mistake of checking just the total PP times and based on that that Puljujarvi's average PP time was just over minute, which is about 30% from the highest and 14th highest of the team. However, I didn't check how much the others got in these six games. Even in that case I don't think altogether just over 6 minutes in his time in Carolina is very much. It's about what the Oilers top guys get in 1,5 games.

Like I said even less or no PP time at all would be understandable as it's a new team and a very cold player. In Puljujarvi's sitiation he couldn't expect automatically PP time or in Carolina due to his low production. There was a time when this was different IMO, but it was long ago. I'll leave this topic now.

I don’t have anger towards JP. I think he just sucks as a player. You’re just getting upset because I and many others don’t think he’s any good. Frankly it’s his fans that make engagement difficult

And am I wrong about the whataboutism thing with JP fans?
When people shit on Yamo, for the most part, people just accept he sucks due to physical limitations, injuries, etc.

When people shit on JP, almost all JP fans turn around and say well what about Yamo

You can think what you like, I know you're wrong with many of your thoughts about me. You're also wrong in that as far as I know there's been only one JP's supporter that has brought conversation to Yamo frequently. Please go though the effort and try to prove I've kept doing that. You won't find what you're hoping to find.
