Did he play the puck with the broken stick, the tv replays never clearly showed that ?
Just going by what the broadcasters said.
Pierre was about 10 feet from where it happened.

Agreed, Leddy literally lowered himself to a level where he could deliver the elbow directly to Kuraly`s melon, blatant, I mean there was literally no other part of Kuraly`s body he could have targeted other than his headHead shots should be called ,and both were deliberate,I would even argue both should be reviewed by the League.
The problem is when the standard changes from period to period or shift to shift with the same refs.Just a guess on my part.
But I would imagine different refs have different standards.
It was hard for me to see for sure what happened there, but he did take a swipe at it idiotically. I think just trying to play it with a broken stick will get you sent to the box. Kind of automatic. I was utterly shocked that he did that. NHL players should know better.Did he play the puck with the broken stick, the tv replays never clearly showed that ?
Bruins also like to pack it in in the middle and allow the wide shots. More chances for bad bounces.
I heard them say it but from the distance replay they showed he dropped the stick pretty quickly , couldn't tell if he actually made contact . But the Bruins didn't put up too much of a gripe so I guess is was the case.Just going by what the broadcasters said.

yeah the replay I saw too showed little evidence that he actually played the puck or tried to but whatever, I don`t rely on the NHL`s terrible officiatingI heard them say it but from the distance replay they showed he dropped the stick pretty quickly , couldn't tell if he actually made contact . good point, momentum can swing either way depending on a PP, sometimes a great kill can do the same as a good PP even if no goal is scoredI know it was early in the game.
but with a 1-0 lead we put up a dud of a power play that couldve given us some breathing room. I dont even think we had a shot.

The Pasta penalty for running Varlamov was kind of dumb as well. That didn't need to happen. It was hard for me to see for sure what happened there, but he did take a swipe at it idiotically. Bruins should have been calling the league for a review, otherwise it’s open season on head shots.Agreed, Leddy literally lowered himself to a level where he could deliver the elbow directly to Kuraly`s melon, blatant, I mean there was literally no other part of Kuraly`s body he could have targeted other than his head
@GahdenRinkRat was trying to get in when we were at the game. I told her it probably crashed because of the Leaf/ Hab gameYou'll miss the 3rd period comeback in the thread - boards crashed after the laffs lost.
Nope they didn’t,and they won’t get many chances on Power plays,so better make them count or at least keep momentum going.I know it was early in the game.

I agree it should have been a penalty, but call the league for a review? Come on.Bruins should have been calling the league for a review, otherwise it’s open season on head shots.
Reilly has been even better than I realized. If he would just shoot a little more.
He could score 3 goals somebody would find something wrong with him. He was not trash last night whatsoever. You are looking and picking out certain things to find flaws. He battled in front of the net like everyone wanted him to do. He battle hard. Mayfield manhandled him in the 1st, but Jake came out in the 2nd and 3rd and went back to it. Crosschecked Mayfield even. He almost scored. He had a few good passes. And the thing that stood out to me is that he was PHYSICAL. He was hitting. He went after these guys. He's not Smitty. He stepped up in line where he's on his off wing, playing with a player he never played with. One game. He's played on the 2nd line with Hall 1 full game. He did fine.No he was trash. You defend him no matter what..
Easy. The team didn't bother to play in the second when they could have taken control of the game. That's the argument.Rask was fine. Lauzon is 10000% responsible for this loss and I don't see how you can argue otherwise.
And especially when the first line had just really had some great scoring chances,up until then had been pretty quiet. It totally changed the momentum of the game .The Pasta penalty for running Varlamov was kind of dumb as well. That didn't need to happen.
There's always some context we aren't privy to. Officials officiate with their words just as much as their calls, but we don't get the words. Everyone's heard "one more and I'm sending you" or "You've been doing XZY all game, I haven't called you yet, but you have to stop it or else I'm calling the next one"
Not jumping to conclusions, but that's just my guess on that one. Carlo was retaliating, probably was told, "you touch him again and you're going", proceeded to grab him again anyway and got sent. Had he skated away after the refs separated them, he doesn't get a penalty.
