It going to be a lot harder then we think, with the crowd and the Isles home record 21-4-3. If Isles happen to go up 3-1 then I think the writing is on the wall.
For sure Bruins have to win atleast one game there with out a doubt, but really this current Bruins team have had some of their best games on the road .

Lots of posts about how we shouldn’t be worried because it took a lot of bad calls for the Isles to win. Terrible take. We know what the officiating situation in this league is, it’s not a crutch anymore.

How about the entirety of the second period where the Bruins took a collective dump at center ice? Completely within the teams control. There’s your problem.

We were what, #1 or #2 in PIMs this year? Bad calls aside, at times it shows. Coaching has to improve there.

I think all their skill and confidence makes them less focused at times. Like the hot girl at the party who doesn't have to try

I said before the series started that there's two things you can't do agains The Isle.
You can't fall asleep at the wheel and you can't get frustrated and get too far over your skates and over-commit.

I told my wife after the 1st yesterday this series is reminding me of the 2019 cup final. Boy oh boy it's re-hashing some memories.

- favorable calls to keep NYI in it.
- Rask with a couple softies
- Cassidy getting out coached

The refs missed the JDB crosscheck to the head of Mayfield right before their PP and Hall blindsiding Palmieri. The officiating is horrible both sides, don't believe me read the Islanders board.

Bruins played bad last night for stretches. Not what the Islanders were doing but what the Bruins weren’t doing. That’s on them. Sort it out and win or don’t and look like the Leafs.

We have absolutley no reason to think we are going to have an easy time with the Islanders. The Bruins cannot look past or take anything for granted. Although I cannot stand the shitty calls made by the refs and the fact that we dicatte play expect for the the entire 2nd period. The Islanders are a coached very very well and the Bruins need to be constantly mindful that we have to have our foot on the gas for the entire game!

The whole second line needs to start contributing especially 5-5 ,Krejci assists have almost all been on Power play,Hall has a couple power play goals and an empty netter to make it 5-2 and Smith has one goal ,sure it was a big goal ,but need more from these guys 5-5 because face it were not getting many more power plays .

Agree 100%. Hall/Krejci need to make an impact
5/5 next 2 games.

If a top 6 line with Komarov on it can cause issues
zero reason a line with DeBrusk with Hall/Krejci
cant.

I am glad there are two full days off between games, maybe we get Smith and/or Miller back. I agree that Jake hasn't been the same player since the Kadri concussion, it really sucks.

It is amazing how many deflected goals the opponents have had in the playoffs so far. The reffing was ridiculous last night, but that is nothing new either. Best of 5 now...I'll still pick the Bruins in 6.
Wow thanks, didn’t realize there was an extra day

The truth.

Only so many times you can rely on heroics from the same guys to bail you out when you play poorly as a team.

Had the Bruins won last night, it would have felt like it had been stolen.
They did not deserve to win.

Too many guys circling back to the perimeter, unwilling to go to the dirty areas.
Too many sustained shifts where they were hemmed in and unable to retrieve loose pucks and exit the zone.

Rask covered a lot of warts and kept them in it.

On to the next one.

that second line needs a banger. somebody that can take the body. Thats why smith is pretty good there. He does the dirty work.
Hopefully smith can go thursday. but if not, we have to find somebody other than Debrusk.
I would even put Ritchie there Thursday instead of Debrusk.
Debrusk in my opinion should be on the LW.

Definitely should have been a penalty on DeBrusk ,hell could even argue 5 minutes ,also think the same for the hit on Kuraly, both were targeted head shots. But refs don’t call them but an extra shove in a scrum gets you a penalty,or a guy who doesn’t drop his broken stick instantly, had it for what 3 tenths of a second maybe.

It was one of there patented, wait until the third to turn it on for a comeback, yeah they did ,but a bad break in OT cost them the game ,it is most times a recipe for failure.
