The video shows some Leaf fans cheering we want Florida and some chanting we want Boston but funny enough it's cut to only the Florida fans and that's the one the media is running with.

Nothing is real anymore.

Can’t the fans just want things in peace? There’s probably a video of them chanting “we want pizza”, what are we gonna shame them for being hungry too? Shit on them when they end up choking on the pizza? Seems harsh.

Went through this in 2011. Whenever your team has success it inevitably leads to douchebag casuals coming out and embarrassing the hardcore fans who've been there from day 1. I don't for a second think that actual Leaf fans who've been through everything over the past 8 seasons were among the group chanting "we want Florida!"
This is a lie. Canucks are second only to the Leafs in regards to the dbag metric.

High danger scoring chances are 36-19 Toronto after 2 games. If we keep playing our game and Samsonov plays up to par and Bobrovsky falls down to earth a little I'm not that worried. Not only has Bobrovsky been amazing but we missed and/or hit the post on about 10 point blank chances last game. Either way they are clearly a great team and I expect we still win both games in their building, if not then it's all but a foregone conclusion we'll lose the series.

22-19 at 5vs5 though. PP's are 7-2 in Leafs favor in this series, that help.

I dunno, other than 1 min to start the 2nd period, the Leafs pretty much dominated FLA the entire game.
To be honest that’s kind of their game plan. Bend but don’t break, then score on the counter.
It works well when their goalie is fire which he currently is.

"Thanks Boston for gifting us the Panthers!"

Leafs in 4
Leafs in 5

Leafs in 6
I mean, 31/31 teams would have prefered to play Florida over Boston if you gave them the choice.

Also, 2.7% of votes in this thread said Leafs in 4, and 13.7% said Leafs in 5. Vast majority of votes for the Leafs were for 6 or 7 games, so you acting like all Leafs fans thought they'd sweep Florida is pretty disingenuous.

To be honest that’s kind of their game plan. Bend but don’t break, then score on the counter.
It works well when their goalie is fire which he currently is.
For sure, and credit to them for being up 2-0.

Based on all the shit talking here, you'd think the Panthers destroyed them for 120 minutes of hockey, when the Leafs have actually done fine and are a bit unlucky not to have the series tied 1-1 right now (like you said based a lot on Bob's play).

Hope Samsonov shakes his bad goal habit

The weak goal on Eyssimont last series costing them the game, and Barkov's muffin last game costing them the game.

Something about a muffin shot that Samsonov can't handle.

Got it out of the way, now wake up.

Was just looking at the replay of that 3rd goal that resulted from Marner's ill advised pass to Matthews at the defensive blue line and Matthews equally ill advised attempt to chip it out to himself.

Where did Marner go after the pass? bench? He does not appear in the zone after his pass.

Seemed like a comedy of errors on that one, Brodie blows the zone while Matthews is receiving the pass, No 27 (Luostarinen) Fla intercepts Matthews chip shot or whatever that was at the blueline. Matthews and Buntings momentum takes them out of the Zone and only McCabe is still in zone. It develops as a mini 2-1 to Samsonov's left between Luostarinen an Tkachuk. Brodie/Matthews and Bunting all reenter zone and gradually converge on that side where the puck is, Bennett who exited with Marner goes to bench replaced by Lundell who Tkachuk passes too which draws Matthews and Bunting back toward that right point. Meanwhile Forsling enters zone and heads to front of net on other wing with no coverage. Lundell passes back to Tkachuk in the corner and Bunting, McCabe and Matthews all turn and converge on him. Brodie has Luostarinen in front but now Forsling is all alone on the Left wing side and Lundell is pretty much uncovered in the slot. Tkachuk had 2 pass options.

Pretty much 8 seconds between the turnover and the goal, Leafs had time to recover but started puck chasing and Mr selke nominee just bailed after his poor pass.
