This time on Playoff Survivor IV: @Dr Pepper is caught practising medicine without a license. @Frenchy finds out he's really Belgian. @Fenway falls into a coma.... with sexy results and @hangman005 breaks out of a mental institution. That and something about hockey I guess.

Registration closes Monday 8th May.

I guess it was just Murray, but Samsonov been “accidentally” knocked the net off a bunch of times this season and tonight. No calls against, even though the refs have supposedly caught on the Leafs doing this.
Who was the last goalie to get a penalty for knocking off the net? Was there even a penalty in the entire NHL this season? And when was the last playoff game this was called?

The Maple Leafs can easily come back in this series. A 2-0 deficit isn't insurmountable.

However, I do want to take a moment to express concern over one Maple Leafs fan.

After the Maple Leafs advanced past the 1st round, some girl was interviewed in Maple Leafs Square and said "This is the greatest day of my life".

I hope she has caring family and friends with her right now, because she probably isn't feeling too happy.

She might be young. Hopefully her life will be filled with great days.

Well, how often does a team (both goalies) repeatedly make it look so blantant that even officials are aware of it? Also, do you think they should just allow goalies to push the net off its pegs whenever they feel like it without getting penalized?

FLA fans and lurkers thumping their chest that "FLA is so amazing" to win two games in a row, "Leafs will lose in 4 games", the "series is over". You were literally outplayed two games in a row by every metric, except goaltending. Right now you have a hot goalie finally coming out of his coma to earn his $10m a year paycheque, who has been historically bad, to the chagrin of FLA fans. If he reverts back to his previous form, this series can go side ways fairly quick.

At least when we played TB we recognized we were not the better team for long stretches, but that we got the bounces, and Samsonov made the big saves to keep us in it. But just wow, the arrogance of some of these FLA fans and others who are dunking on the Leafs.

This is what you get for spamming Bruins board after a series loss.

Karma is a bitch isn't it.

Gonna enjoy Dallas-Florida finals.
Both teams have a chance to make it of course, but no team has advanced through the second round yet.

To be fair - the people who usually attend these types of 'gatherings' tend to be over-socialized crowd hoppers. They're there for the 'atmosphere' and the 'sick vibes' rather than any actual knowledgeable fandom. This has always been the case but has gotten much worse within the millenial/zoomer gradient.

No. Not when they are pushing off side to side - it happens all the time. A goalie would have to push the net off like David Leggio to get a penalty? At the end of the day the anchors for the nets are flawed, and don't do into the ice deep enough, but it's done that way to prevent injury.

That said, you avoided answering my question. Because you know the answer without looking it up.
