Roller coaster of a season for sure.
Or Barkov for shutting down Matthew's. How many goals did Matthew's have?
I could be wrong but the Rangers had our number this year.I'm going to agree with the opinion that if not for Buddy Robinson KO'ing the Penguins, we would probably still be calling for Paul Maurice's head.
But that's in an alternate reality. In this reality, the Panthers squeaked into the playoffs by one point, Sergei Bobrovsky is playing the best hockey of his life, and Paul Maurice has now outcoached Montgomery and Keefe (IMO) in two playoff series the Panthers were supposed to lose.
There is a 100% chance Paul Maurice will be the coach next season, and he should be. The team has made it to the Eastern Conference Finals after knocking off the team that had the best regular season and a Toronto club that I personally felt was the best team left.
All joking and bullshit making fun of the Leafs aside, Toronto is a good team that presents serious matchup problems for the Panthers. They were flat out better during the season series. Florida just beat them in five games, and it's not like they were fluke blowouts. Both teams got good goaltending, and it was actually Toronto that got most of the puck luck bounces in the series (puck off the ref, own goals, etc.).
I think Carolina also matches up very well with the Panthers and should be a VERY tough opponent, but let's be perfectly honest: we all saw that Devils team for what it was during the season, a bunch of soft ass p***yes playing fast break hockey. They squeaked by a mediocre Rangers team on the back of a hot performance by Schmid, and the moment he cooled off they got obliterated.
Just enjoy the ride. I think these guys can maybe pull it off.

He was salty in the handshake line. Couldn’t get through fast enough. LolWas this the Tavares redemption after he eleminated us?
Your team is breaking everyoneIf anyone isn't reading the Stanley Cup forum, now is a really good time.
We broke them.
This is actually very interesting. Did we get called so much in regular season for penalties at times because we were playing "playoff hockey" already. I know there were tons of stupid penalties too but...
PoMo was right about the playing playoff hockey thing. Refs call things waaaay tighter in the playoffs. The Panthers style is no bueno for the regular season but 100% what good playoff teams do. Something like:
is probably a penalty in game 28 of the season but not now. Hockey is truly 2 different sports, playoffs and regular season and the regular season doesn't matter as long as you get in.
Didn’t even see the pad get pushed in last night. Lol. This view just makes it end of story, sorry Leafs.

Biz is still upset lmao
This one makes it pretty obvious Bob’s pad was also pushed:
Let's call it even with the Colton Orr tackle goal on Clemmenson.a part of me wanted that shit to be a legit goal waived off for some bullshit as has happened to us. It's happened so many times that if we win the next 8 games from bullshit, it STILL wouldn't cover what we've been through.
but they're crying over still frames. amazing.
then I'll raise you two Trocheck trips!Let's call it even with the Colton Orr tackle goal on Clemmenson.
Video? He was salty in the handshake line. Couldn’t get through fast enough. Lol

Tavares showed his colors when he abandoned an Islanders team that was on the verge of crossing over to elite status to go somewhere where he thought he'd get easy Cups.He was salty in the handshake line. Couldn’t get through fast enough. Lol

Ah! Never seen that angle before. You are right, even if the puck was over the line before the whistle, it still would not have counted. Reilly never actually touched the puck there, but rather only the pad and pushed it in over the line = goalie interference.
