On the contrary. I've been harder than most on Bob the past few years than almost everyone but it was inevitable that he would give one up if we play zero puck possession. Just handing it to them over and over again without even trying to control the puck or generate offense it's a matter of time before they got lucky. God I'm so furious right now.

I have zero faith they can win this. The effort the 2nd and 3rd period continue. We done in this series.

If Bob doesn't let in that soft goal, the story would be how we locked it down defensively and didn't let them have a lot of dangerous looks.

I think I'm close to being done with GDTs here. Sorry, but there is just so much negativity. I feel like reddit is surprisingly less bipolar with these nowadays

If you play great defensive hockey and stifle 99% of the opposing teams chances you're still eventually going to give up a goal if you're not generating your own chances.

The get 2 and a lead and just go right back to sitting on the lead. This team. Hasn't been able to shut down many teams like that this season but they are going to keep doing it ad nauseum.

Need to Matty do something other then throw his butt at leafs players in the corners. Seems like hes gassed half the time hes out there. Hasnt looked same since game 1.

yes absolutely, but that's playing the percentages. there's a reason defense wins hockey, because once a team tries to lock it down, it's hard for the other team to score.

Two high danger chances for the Leafs all 3rd period while they are fighting for their season. Two.
 
Monty had that once chance early in the 2nd cruising down alone between the hash marks. That goes in we are sipping champagne right now with a 3-0 or 3-1 win.

One shot is all it takes to change fate.
