While I may still end up eating crow, and while the team has played well this playoffs, this is what I've been worried about with PoMo. it's clearly a coaching strategy to pull back and sit on the lead, and it's not good strategy here.

I haven't been as hard on Maurice as most people but that was the worst coached period I've seen in a long time. To instruct the team to revert into dump and chase mode on a one goal lead against a talented Leaf team is inexcusable. If I were a player on that bench I would be LIVID.

Bob has really surprised me in these playoffs and taken his game to a level 100x greater than what’s he’s shown in a panther sweater to date.

You can blame Maurice or whatever, but that wasn't a dangerous chance. Bob should've 100% had that one. Didn't feel like the Leafs were that dangerous tbh. The turtling feels like it sucks when it doesn't work with some flukey bounce, but also do we really want to open it up with them? That's what a team that's down wants, to trade chances.

And this isn't me shitting on Bob, he's been fantastic. But that's a goal he'd like to have back.
