goaltending is worrying to me. vitek looks so twitchy when he's in net and I know those shorties are tough to stop but you would hope he could make a few stops.

4th line was the only effective line in the first two games. They have done a great job overall in this series.

Hopefully LH takes Dougie's spot on the PP by next season. PP defensemen need mobility at the blue line...Fox, Makar, Husky Heiskanen, McAvoy......
The Luke thing was a big thing. Need another win at home and then need to figure out their intense line matching in Carolina.

Luke was good, I kind of wanna see them keep the 11/7 into Carolina but I'm worried about tiring out the guys up front. It may help the matchups in Carolina by double shifting guys into favorable match ups.

The Canes are a great home team, winning every home game vs them is a must (pretty obvious now), and then we have to steal one there.
One game at a time though.
The biggest cause of shorthanded threats against is because Hamilton is so slow. Especially when flat-footed, which is typically the case out high on the PP. Most often times the guy teams have up there fits the usual profile of an offensive D, which is being fleet-of-foot.
If the guys can’t handle a few extra minutes a game thrown their way then we aren’t going to win a Cup anyway.

Dougie had 8 PPG and 20 PPA assists this year for 28 PP points. He's a fine PP player.
Eventually, maybe Luke and Nemec take the spots. I think Nemec would be a very good PP QB with his passing, poise and IQ. But for now? Dougie is good there.

The key is opening up an early lead against Carolina. You force them to open the game up and it bodes well for us.
