I want to see him re-signed depending on the price. Clowe really changes the dynamic of this team.

I think this offseason will be a huge boost for him. Sign him, trade a D for a forward and, man, that is a NICE top-12.

We can trade Del Zotto, while Girardi, Mcd, Moore, Strålman and Staal are too valuable. U wont get an elite forward for Eminger.

Next season I hope the top 6 Ds will be Staal, Girardi, Strålman, Mcd, Del Zotto and Moore. 7th D will be Eminger.

I've read the hate, but not the love affair. Several people do seem to think he adds a good dimension to Rangers game, but it certainly isn't love.

Are you sure his ice-time was spoonfeed and not earned based on performance and team needs?

Clowe was continuously getting top 6 minutes with the Sharks and failed to produce. Couture masked him to being a better player puck possession wise, his shooting differential without Couture on the ice is simply awful. He is a product of his linemates, but can't even seem to carry his own weight anymore. I don't see him meshing in the lineup and he is too slow out there to be a factor in my opinion.

The love affair with Clowe is based entirely on toughness and size.

Clowe does not play nasty, or at least I haven't noticed with the Rangers. Clowe doesn't hit as much due to lack of footspeed and for some reason played a finesse game, probably due to injuries limiting his physical play. He is a basically Todd Bertuzzi, but more injury prone.

However I do think he fits the team identity a lot. Slow, can't skate, prone to injury and can't generate offense.

so it was between Clowe and Torres for that top 3 line physical winger at the deadline.. would you rather have Torres who can skate but gets suspended at least once a month or it seems that way

I don't know about you guys, but 3-0 down in a series gives you a chance to relax and try to enjoy what may very well be the last game of the year. Take it easy and try to enjoy the viewing. Who knows? Maybe we'll win.

I wouldn't call 50+ pts (inc 1 x 60+) in 3 of the last 4 seasons failure to produce, but I guess we all have our own standards.
