Once upon a time, in the world of professional wrestling, The Undertaker had reigned supreme as the WWE's most feared and respected performer for over two decades. But after years of performing in front of screaming crowds, The Undertaker was ready for a new challenge. And that's when he decided to take his talents to the ice.

Yes, that's right. The Undertaker, with his towering 6'10'' frame and imposing presence, had set his sights on becoming a professional ice hockey player. And not just any hockey player - he wanted to play for the New York Rangers.

The Rangers, who were struggling to make the playoffs, were initially hesitant to sign The Undertaker. After all, he had never played a single game of organized hockey in his life. But The Undertaker was nothing if not determined, and he spent countless hours training with some of the best coaches in the game.

And then, finally, the moment arrived. The Rangers were set to face off against their bitter rivals, the New Jersey Devils, in the first round of the playoffs. The Devils had dominated the Rangers all season long, but with The Undertaker in the lineup, anything was possible.

As the game began, The Undertaker took to the ice to a thunderous ovation from the Madison Square Garden crowd. He was an imposing figure in his Rangers jersey, with his long black hair flowing behind him as he skated onto the ice.

The Devils, however, were not intimidated. They had beaten the Rangers time and time again, and they were determined to send their rivals home once again. But The Undertaker had other plans.

In the first period, The Undertaker slammed Devils forward Taylor Hall into the boards so hard that it echoed throughout the arena. The Devils were stunned, and The Undertaker's Rangers teammates fed off his energy. They scored two quick goals to take the lead, and the Garden erupted in celebration.

The Devils tried to mount a comeback, but The Undertaker was too much to handle. He hit Devils captain Nico Hischier with a bone-crunching check that sent him flying across the ice. And then, with the game tied in the final minutes, The Undertaker took matters into his own hands.

He skated down the ice with the puck, dodging Devils defenders left and right. And then, with a flick of his wrist, he sent a shot soaring past Devils goalie Mackenzie Blackwood and into the back of the net.

The Rangers held on for the win, and The Undertaker was named the game's first star. As he skated off the ice, the Garden crowd chanted his name, and The Undertaker couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction.

He had conquered the WWE, and now he had conquered the NHL. And as he looked across the ice at the defeated Devils players, he couldn't help but think to himself: "Looks like you guys are headed back to hell."

Do we still have to listen to the same announcers as in last game? Hate watching the game on mute.
As soon as the playoffs is over for NYR, I will cancel my ESPN+ monthly subscription, can't stand giving anymore money to them.

Or is there a good radio feed i can listen to while keeping ESPN on mute?

When the Devils get Taylor Hall back?

You said this in Game 4 thread and wasn't able to quote (got closed)

"In a seven-game series, win the first two games but allow the opponent to win the next two games to instill overconfidence. Then attack the opponent when they perceive themselves as being at their strongest. Encourage your fans to criticize your perceived lack of killer instinct, for when you defeat your opponent, they will realize their error of ways and shower glory upon you twice as adamant." --Sun Tzu, Art of Hockey

My reply......The Rangers are trying to distinguish their "real fans", opposed to the ones that say they're "real fans".

That's why there's a list incoming. Criticizing their lackluster performances is one thing, out and out PREDICTING they will lose the series is NOT the makings of a "real fan".

I stated I am making a list (& checking it twice), @Machinehead said he was making one (he let it slide last year) many smiles came to my face.

@will1066 above post (whether true or his thoughts) are very prophetic.
Everyone cares, but they can only do what they can do. Much of hockey (imo) is mental. Within a series and taking for granted (for 1 game) is very human. Opposing teams get paid as well. Whether they're better than your team or not.
Who made you the fan police? You know what I think I’ll decide who the real fans are and effective immediately I’m stripping you of your Rangers fan card.
See how ridiculous this is?

Bruins and Canes have lost 2. Guess they're not trying. Higher ranked teams losing to lower ranked teams.

Fortunately for us they did. The last thing we need is to be playing a very well rested Canes and sometimes later Bruins.
We'll beat the Canes, but if somehow we can get extra rest prior to the "big, bad Bruins", that will behoove us.

Ridiculous, ummmm maybe. Wow, angry much? Or, are you guilty and just pissed off that the Rangers let you down and didnt sweep? Well guess what, I am disappointed too, but not angry. And don't ridicule the Rangers every chance I get.

I'm still seething that Shesterkin got a roughing penalty with a member of the opposing team on top of him almost breaking his damned leg. What a horseshit call.
Could even argue it cost us the game.

If we get to the third period ahead in that game I think we win

Yeah that was such bullshit. 99% of the time either both get called or neither gets called.

Was it because it was his blocker? Because he barely even hit Meier and was hitting with his hand and slamming down on Meier's shoulder pads - it's not like he tried to clock him with the edge of his blocker in the face or something, I feel like something like that is the only time you ever see the goalie get the only penalty.

Then he gets run over by Hischier who went full speed into him without being touched, lost an edge or not, that's a penalty 100% of the time but it wasn't called. Unreal.

Guilty of what lol? Violating your fandom rules? Yea I'm pissed off that the Rangers no showed on home ice and refuse to put a series away. Get off your high horse, you think you're a better fan or something because you wear blue and red colored glasses.

He was "hitting" him to get his big bony ass off him. I'd do the same - it's instinctive. Who was really "roughing" here?

I know i'm being a negative nelly, but If this is an old script than the Rangers lose tonight by a wide margin. Everyone freaks out and morale reaches an all time low, Rangers win game 6 to restore hope and string the fans along onlt to then lose 2 to 1 in double overtime in game 7 to twist the knife extra deep.

Hopefully they can flip the script.

Please win.
