Dark ages Rongos. Wasted valuable picks that would have contributed for past their prime veterans that can't be bothered to give an honest effort.

Team has no identity.
They gave up very minimal to acquire the assets they wanted at this deadline. Not even remotely mad we made those trades for them. I’m mad that this team and coaching refuse to do anything 5 on 5.

Who cares? Everyone we draft sucks anyway.
That’s a different issue for another discussion.
The Rangers issue isn’t effort. These guys didn’t suddenly stop caring. They are too slow. All the talent in the world isn’t going to matter if you can’t ever retrieve the puck.
you’re right, and the Devils adjusted and are standing the Rangers up in the neutral zone because they know the Rangers don’t have the 1) speed to dump and chase and 2) physicality to hit on the forecheck. The Rangers lack of speed is a huge issue.

It doesn't seem that bad.

We could still win but until we are, I'm going to continue to explain why we're losing in the hopes of saving even one life.

Yea, it was a fluke goal, and then I thought they had a good pK, took over the game a bit, and then the last 3-4 minutes were really bad.

Perspective: We made it to the Conference Finals last year because we faced nothing but backup goalies in the first two rounds. This team isn't as great as they appeared last year, but also aren't as bad as a 1st round KO to an AHL goalie this year. Truth is somewhere in the middle.

PS.... If losing in the 1st round is what it take to get Panarin off this team, then this series loss is collateral damage,
Ummm....a backup goalie is owning us right now.

you watch how much room a team like Tampa's top players create with puck movement and player movement when the puck is in the offensive zone and it's so stark compared to the Rangers. The Rangers are always stapled to the boards, with the only outlet being a pass out high to the point. It's hard to watch.
Their forwards receive the puck before the opponent is in a 1-4.

Our defenseman are also literally never options as a trailer. The country has a new president by the time they make it up the ice.

Breadman needs to bury these chances.

It's nice he's getting chances, but he's getting paid the big bucks to bury those in big moments like the playoffs. Not expecting perfection here.

It’s been this way for years too. And gets worse come playoff time.
