NOTE: When the puck is shot into the players’ bench, the penalty will not apply. When the puck goes out of the playing area directly off a face-off, no penalty shall be assessed.

The linesmen are hawkeye in seeing Brodie flick the puck out of play.
The same linesmen didn't see Bob come out to play that puck on the icing.

They reviewed the play on the Brodie flick after the Florida bench got up in arms about it didn't they? it wasn't called immediately
