This team is too soy. We need some psychopath in this team's core willing to be dirty. Mika Kreids Bread are all great guys but they don't have what it takes to grind it out the dirty way. Too much "they've got a good team over there".

Schmid puts it on a silver platter but nobody is there. Any other team in these playoffs that’s actually busting their ass and skating to the net would’ve had a free goal. But no, not these Rangers. Basicslly the entire forward group is allergic to the crease, let alone crashing the net with speed and intensity.

Kreider is the LW there, why is he not crashing the net? He was literally floating and coasting at the boards like it’s a public free skate.
Meet Chris Kreider. Coasts on defense and is the most timid power forward in thr league

"Energy" is just how much offense you're generating.

Miller sucks. The analytics say it's Trouba's fault. Maybe it is but that pair can't be on the ice in postseason hockey.
Energy is forecheck. Doesn't have to create offense but you create pressure which causes mistakes which can lead to offense. It also prevents the other teams offense.

I've never been huge on Miller but he doesn't suck. He played well first two games. Did he do anything special? No, simple and physical hockey. A player like him that's all you need him to do. Rangers are not playing to win tonight, just going through the motions.

I'm not saying you're wrong but if anybody gets sainthood around here, it's homegrown players. Nobody can criticize Miller despite arguably being on the least effective 5v5 pair since he entered the league.

We're long overdue to trade Alexis Pyatt and Kaapo Asham for players who can skate and be weapons now.
Back to the kids being the problem,eh?god forbid you criticize Mika or Bread

Huh throw him under the bus? Not necessarily him but his type that isn't afraid to yell and bench and actually coach x and o.
Until players tune him out and tell the GM or their agent or the media that they won't play for him. Yelling doesn't fix shit.

Do you see anyone going to the net? Defense can't stop offensive players from skating towards the net without the puck, that actually known as interference. This is literally a team unwilling to go into dirty areas of the ice. They are chosing to stay on the outside. People driving lanes is exactly what opens up space for the puck on passes. All your comments basically make the devils sound like a 70 win team. The rangers are not engaged offensively and the devils are just letting the rangers stay on the outside where they are comfortable. Even trocheck is acknowledging they aren't getting to the net at all
There's no point in even discussing. It's always going to be effort. Might as well lock up the roster building thread and have the try harder thread.

What would a Tkachuk do for us? Any more of those nut cases in the pipeline?

Were gonna score 3 goals in the third. Well get a lucky one and they will completely crumble. They aren't even playing well enough to win. We have just been that lazy.

This place is miserable. Remember those dead years out of the playoffs? We are up 2-1. We have a good team. I agree we are not playing to our potential, but only down 1-0. We are in this.

The first 2 games gave NJ an attitude adjustment really quick. Now they've upped their game to playoff level and last six periods have been a battle of attrition. Didn't really expect to keep dominating NJ but also didn't expect NJ to tighten up so substantially. We don't do tight checking well and that's been our M.O. But we're still defending pretty good and they haven't had much 5 on 5 either
