Schmid puts it on a silver platter but nobody is there. Any other team in these playoffs that’s actually busting their ass and skating to the net would’ve had a free goal. But no, not these Rangers. Basicslly the entire forward group is allergic to the crease, let alone crashing the net with speed and intensity.

Kreider is the LW there, why is he not crashing the net? He was literally floating and coasting at the boards like it’s a public free skate.

Two teams just playing 4 back all game long, lol.

I love how Ferraro and this Buffoon McDonough don’t state the obvious. They’re fixated on the Rangers, meanwhile the Devils aren’t doing much either.

What
Okay, I’ll defer to your hyperbolic expertise instead amigo.

Panarin isn’t a player you win with on a 9M contract. At 12M he’s a literal problem in a cap league. Miller is on a f***ing ELC and put up 40 points without PP time and is under 24. Panarin is a liability when he isn’t producing and there is no potential for him to improve - Miller’s career has barely begun.

I’m not actually even sure why I’m debating - likely because I just said a difference of opinion was fine, and you still felt the need to make a snide comment that implies your opinion is superior. I have no idea who gave Panarin sainthood but it’s a salary cap league and no matter how you slice it, he’s a top 3 salary having maybe a top 30 impact. That’s a poor return on investment whether you are overall satisfied with his play or not.

signing him killed the rebuild imo

Even simpler for me:

Right now the difference in game 3 and 4 is our pathetic power play. That has nothing to do with our 2nd pairing.

I'm not saying you're wrong but if anybody gets sainthood around here, it's homegrown players. Nobody can criticize Miller despite arguably being on the least effective 5v5 pair since he entered the league.

We're long overdue to trade Alexis Pyatt and Kaapo Asham for players who can skate and be weapons now.

It's almost like the other team is playing defense or something and we're also really, really slow.
Do you see anyone going to the net? Defense can't stop offensive players from skating towards the net without the puck, that actually known as interference. This is literally a team unwilling to go into dirty areas of the ice. They are chosing to stay on the outside. People driving lanes is exactly what opens up space for the puck on passes. All your comments basically make the devils sound like a 70 win team. The rangers are not engaged offensively and the devils are just letting the rangers stay on the outside where they are comfortable. Even trocheck is acknowledging they aren't getting to the net at all

We never CHOOSE to get a good shot.

Still trying to pass it intoo the net, too many fly byes or just plain not looking to get anywhere close to their goalie, etc, etc. Same 'ole.
Sorry. It was a joke because we had a user named “We Never Get a Good Coach.”

But I agree. We’re our own worst enemy the last 2 games. Too confident from the first 2.
