CONFIRMED is the word you're looking for (talking about the core vets here). The series isn't over but it sure will take a 180 in approach for some highly paid stars to start to show up. Some asses will be on the line especially if the next game on home ice is pants too.

I hate the forecheck, down big and we can’t get two guys to attack hard when the game is lost, just awful. It always feels like our D is being swarmed while our forwards just can’t get on Dman in the ozone, awful to watch.

His defensive metrics are bit underwhelming for me, but it's not a bad choice. He could put up 65 points with Panarin. Copp is pacing for like 90 lol.
We have to start utilizing Panarin from a roster building standpoint. The Rangers think they're doing that because *FART NOISE* PaNaRiN aND STRomE hAVe chemiSTy *BRAIN TUMOR* but they're not.
What they're doing is putting two high-risk all-offense players together who have proven they can score without each other. What we should be doing is putting Panarin with big bois and defensive bois who will score a bunch because Panarin is there.

That's what happens when you stick with consistently bad with no upside, no outlet, and tons of turnover in your defense makeup over 82 games. You had an opportunity to give a few kids some runway to establish themselves that can actually be a positive but instead, you chose Nemeth and Braun because they're vets and Nemeth had covid or a child or some shit.
