Playoff hockey is a myth. It’s the same game. “Playoff hockey” “playoff experience” two of the stupidest things that are constantly repeated in hockey circles. You know why experienced teams win more than guys who aren’t experienced in the playoffs? It’s not because they’re experienced. It’s because in general they’re better which is why they’ve made the playoffs.

Yeah, I’m not talking about experience either. I don’t know why you’re forcing me to spell it out so explicitly for some reason - all I was saying was that all of our guys who play with a lot of grit, forecheck hard, finish their checks, and play a “playoff style” game are out of the lineup. If it makes you feel better that I say all of the guys who play a gritty game instead of playoff style, fine. The only thing I was trying to say, from the onset, was that all of the guys who are out or hurt are the guys who crash the net, forecheck, finish checks, etc.

I feel like with Zibs you need a VERY strong 2nd line center. To me, it's fine if your 1st line center isn't as good as another as long as your 2nd line center is better.

I agree but Copp isn't that? With his concussion history I am not so sure he is that. Cost controlled decent non aging 2c don't come cheap unfortunately.

Honestly, I expected more than this but my expectations of a group of players with nearly zero playoff experience, a ton of players under 25, and their first trip to the dance in 5 years wasn't very high. Hopefully they can elevate and get past the rattles and make a series of it.
